Review of Malaysia Airlines flight from Kota Bharu to Kota Kinabalu in Economy

After spent a week at peninsular, it is the time for me to return to Sabah. My flight was from KBR to BKI via KUL
The aircraft used were B737-800NG. I flied with the old B738 for KBR-KUL route while got the new B738 equipped with personal screen for KUL-BKI.
It was a busy morning at the airport as many flights departing to KUL, one flight from MH and two flights of AK that morning. Another flights were AK to Kota Kinabalu, Malindo Air to Subang and Firefly to Penang. KBR is the busiest airport in Peninsular East Coast.
The check-in process was not smooth as the counters opened one hour before departure, even though MH have 5 counters, they only open 3 counters, 1 for Business Class and others 2 for economy passengers. The terminal was small and most of the passengers clogged at the security clearance counter. I think the airport must be upgraded so they can handle more passengers efficiently.

It was just 55 minutes flight. Juices and salted peanuts distributed soon after take off.

I checked-in my baggage direct to BKI. I had two hours at KUL before next flight to BKI at 1255pm. So, my father brought us to the Food Garden at level 2.

At 1155, we went to the departure hall and approached the waiting room A4.
The above level is for international passengers.

The aircraft had just landed from Chennai and headed to the gate.

We embarked on time. Business Class guests, Enrich Silver and Platinum card holders and passengers with under-age children were called to board the flight first.
Again, my dad and I sat at the last row. I sat at E while my father at D and F seat sat by a guy from Spain.

IFE screen. I watched Istanbul Aku Datang. Then enjoying Taylor Swifts songs.

Lunch today were Chicken or Fish with sweet and sour sauce. I chose fish. Orange, Guava and Apple juices, soft drinks and tea were offered together.

Landed 10 minutes earlier, the outside temperature was 30', it is hot out there.
Ladies and gentlemen, Alhamdulillah we have landed at Kota Kinabalu international Airport. The time now is 3pm and the outside temperature is 30 degree celcius. It is a safety requirement that you are remain seated until the seat belt sign is switched off. Do be careful whenever you open the over-head compartment. You may use your mobile phone until the aircraft is ready for disembarkation.
