HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Check-in counters for Emirates are located at Aisle G of Hong Kong International Airport. Check-in was efficient because there were plenty of counters available. There were also dedicated lanes for passengers travelling in First and Business class.

Emirates has three daily departures out of HKG: EK 383 departs at 7:10 pm, EK 385 departs at 9:30 pm, and EK 381 departs at 12:40 am.

Even though I arrived early, I still managed to have my luggage checked because they had started accepting early check-in for my flight.

BOARDING

Boarding was at Gate 60, which is located at the far end of the terminal building. There was also a very nice display at the gate that clearly showed the flight number, departure time, and destination.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

Catering for this flight was provided by Cathay Dining. Two meals were served on this red-eye flight: a light meal shortly after takeoff, and breakfast about two hours before landing.

For the first meal, I chose wok-fried beef with rice, finished with a delightful cheese plate.
