Review of Lufthansa flight Dublin → Frankfurt in Economy

Hello and welcome to my second trip report.

I'll be talking about my wonderful flight with Lufthansa last july, from Dublin to Algiers via Frankfurt. it will be split into two reports as i can only talk about one flight.

On Jul 14, i was bit tired after i arrived from London the previous day to collect my Algerian passport to go Algeria, without it i cant enter -_- while my friends from Morocco and Tunisia can go to there country with any passport. Done last min packing which is not recommended at all and called for a taxi and was in the airport three hours before my flight hahah. I just love going to the airport to spot planes and walk around the terminals which is the case in Dublin airport. They have T1 and T2. T1 is home for ryanair and all European and Canadian carriers while T2 is home for aer lingus, for all american flights as they have clearance and off course the prestiges carriers from the UAE, Emirates and Etihad Airways.
As i had three hours to my flight, before security i was hungry, so i went and had a meal in Mc donalds. After that i cleared security which was a breeze and here i am inside the terminal 1. I went around to see whats in my gate and i found this.

I really want to fly with them badly, hopefully this year. after wondering at the 300s gates i went to Starbucks and relaxed for a bit in there new comfortable chairs, i wish i took a proper picture of it.

The Beautiful RJ85 Avroliner from Air France by cityjet.

Must get on one of these Avro before they disappear….. the faith of cityjet is unknown. Last time i flew an avro was in 2002 on aer lingus, had a visit in the flightdeck and pressed many buttons in the plane and made lots of noise hahah, i was 8 years old at that time. the joys of being a kid.

after an hour passed by, i noticed on FR24 that my plane coming from frankfurt is delayed. now i was even more worried as i would not make my flight. and it was my first time ever in Germany so i was afraid i would not make it as im not familiar with the massive airport of Frankfurt. So i went to T2, to spot some planes and there was few


Etihad dedicated lounge. get me there please haha

After few walk arounds T2, i went back to T1, distance between T1 and T2 is quite far, long walk but its worth the time to waste on when you are very early hahah.
Back to T1, where my plane had just landed and rain started to pour down…. its july for god sake why :(, only in Ireland. Then after 15 min they apologised for the delay due to weather in Frankfurt and they asked the star alliance members, children and business class to queue up. Then economy from row 33 all the way down, it was done neatly, fast and efficient and i was happy that ! the flight seemed full when i boarded the plane.

As i boarded the plane, i forgot that Germany won last night, even tho i was at London Heathrow watching the match hahaha, all the cabin crew were cheery, had face paint of Germany flag in there face, picture of the played who scored and balloons on the plane, it almost felt an inaugural flight hahaha. great atmosphere want to thank the german crew for that. after boarding was completed, i was the last few to board the captain came on the PA and made a long speech in german which all the germans where laughing there heads off…. i was wondering what he was saying, thoughts were (in german accent) we are germans ! we are ze best hahahah but sadly i would never know as soon as he finished the long speech in german, he just greeted us in english and apologised for the delay and route we are taking and what altitude we are flying today which i dont recall sadly.

Coffee !!! im addicted to coffee no joke.

After cruising altitude, the cabin crew started there duty. They offered us sandwiches wish i forgot to take a pic, it was tomato and cheese with herbs…. it was lovely. drank plenty of coffee and orange juice lool and the flight was not eventful except
the skies were just beautiful, pure blue with clouds below us…. it was a magnificent scene.

Sunset at Frankfurt airport. I love sunsets , i enjoy looking at them non stop.

After a long taxi to our gate, we finally parked to our gate and disembarked, after i exited the plane, i rushed to the gate as it was only 25 min left. after walking around 5 gates i found my gate Z13 bound for Algiers, the queue was messy and soon felt i was in algeria ! even tho im still in Frankfurt.
Was quite disappointed that the boarding system that was done in Dublin was implemented here in Frankfurt as we were ferried by bus to our aircraft.
i was really mad as many Algerians from my observation coming from various part of Europe, especially from Denmark, Norway and Sweden as i saw SAS tickets everywhere. They seem the lived for long time in Europe and Baltic region yet they still have the Algerian mentality of being messy and not going by the book. I mean how hard is it to follow the simple rules of having a small sized cabin bags that fit at the over head compartment, not very heavy and board then plane in an order fashion and seat in your assigned seat. I mean when we went down to board the bus, the dispatcher paused a family and told them the bus is full, wait for the second one. few familly behind me pushed through me and some other European look passengers ahead of us without apologizing and went with the other family and boarded the fully loaded bus. Me and the others were like what the hell is this mess ??? and some guy i think he was Danish just blocked the entrance with his cabin bag with few other passengers followed ! fair play to them, jeez sadly some people have no respect what so ever.
