A continuation of my trip to Rome, on a codeshare flight.

I've taken your comments and adjusted my report accordingly! Thanks for your kind words!

After a couple of hours layover in Amsterdam, I connected to my Alitalia flight to Rome. One of the many daily flights operated by Air France-KLM & Alitalia between the two cities I believe. After crossing immigration into Amsterdam, I found a nice food court from which you could do a nice spot of planespotting. The sea of blue KLM planes were refreshing compared to the bland white scheme of a lot of airlines.

Short-haul terminal and all the tails sticking out.

Boarding pass for the journey so far. This would get me on two flights with one boarding pass so there was less to lose but compared to the regular boarding passes, its a bit ugly.
photo IMG_0616

Boarding commenced shortly after a quick turnaround by the ground crew. Seemed like it was going to be a full flight with the queues which formed as soon as boarding was announced.
photo IMG_0617

Priority boarding for Skyteam Elite Members and also Sky Priority passengers but boarding was still sufficiently brisk with little to no delay. Top notch service by the staff of Schiphol.

Very small and old-fashioned sky bridge although I liked its quaint charm.

First look inside the cabin. The first three or four rows were for Ottima passengers. It was basically the same three seats as Classica but the middle seat was folded down to form a mini table/cup holder and the seats were marginally wider.

View from the rear.

My family of four was seated at the last row of the aircraft and we managed to get all six seats to ourselves, what a wonderful surprise. Legroom was pretty good I must say and the seats were very comfortable although recline was non-existent(The button for recline had been pushed into the armrest anyway). The IFE wasn't on/working so it was pretty redundant and also no footrest. Reading material was in italian so I didn't take a look at it.

Pushback! On time, on target to a clearing Amsterdam sky.
photo IMG_0626

Obligatory shot of the safety card while the crew were demonstrating the safety procedures.

Lift-off over Amsterdam. I'll be back to visit next time.
photo IMG_0641

iPad for entertainment and the only service on the flight. A packet of bread snacks and a drink. Other than that, the crew were nowhere to be seen. Which was okay on this short flight.
photo IMG_0645

Obligatory toilet shot! Nothing special to mention as there was nothing except toilet paper and soap.
photo IMG_0651

Landing in Rome, which seemed to have stolen Amsterdam's gloomy weather.
photo IMG_0658

Final shot of the plane. Didn't notice it was in a different livery till now.

Waited for luggages which surprisingly, the forgot to load onto the plane. It wasn't just me but a few other passengers as well so we were all stuck at the help desk. Alitalia offered to deliver the missing luggage to us but since my family were moving from city to city in Italy, they told us the luggage would come in on the next flight three hours later. This really was the only damper of the trip, failing to load the passengers baggage. It wasn't a short connection either, but was in Amsterdam for several hours which makes it frankly disappointing.

    Hi,

This is a very nice report.

I flew once on Air One and it was horrible (no catering, no water, nothing).

You were lucky with this classical salty snack on AZ.

    Nice spotting at AMS.

Ps : I really like the presentation about your flight at the very beginning of your report.

    See you,

Thanks for this report. A very classic european flight on AZ . Not much to be said except the toilets don't look very clean. The crew can be great on long haul but on short haul they are just there and do not try to provide good service . It's a pity that the airline of Italy does not show a better face of the country.

Thanks for this report with great photos. A very standard intra-Europe flight in Y with a single drink service and distribution of snack. There are only a couple planes left in Air One livery so you were lucky to get one.

We did spend three hours at the airport waiting. As we were leaving straight to Florence by train and travelling to other cities afterwards, we couldn't risk having them send the luggage as it might not reach us.
