Hi,
Check in for this Discover flight was very quick - despite being part of the Lufthansa group they do not use the Lufthansa Check In within Terminal 2 but a separate area within Terminal 1 module Z.
Fast track security was speedy and soon I was airside at Terminal 2. Discover premium passengers can use the Lufthansa lounges which I did as well. Some views of the Lufthansa Senator Lounge at G gates levels.
My selection:
Boarding started on time onto a bus that would bring us to our remote position.
Passing a nice looking A380:
Reaching a line up of several parked Discover aircrafts.
Boarding via the front stairs.
I took my window seat. The cabin was showing some age but still ok.
A welcome drink - juice without alcohol was offered while still on the ground. A nice touch!
We started taxiing and soon climbed into grey skies for a flight of 2 hours.
Climbing to cruising altitude with some very nice views on the Alps.
The contents of the seat back:
Discover also equips their medium haul planes with streaming entertainment on your personal device.
Two female cabin attendants served the 5 rows of Business Class today - they were really friendly and very proactive during the whole flight. They started with some aperitif service.
Afterwards I was surprised that the purser came around taking orders for one of two warm main dish choices: pasta or beef.
Soon the lunch tray was served - I decided for the pasta. The whole meal was very filling and tasted nice. It also came with warm bread from a basket.
Cutlery shows traces of Discover's mother Lufthansa:
This is the other main dish choice of beef (taken by my travel companion):
The flight passed by smoothly.
Hot drinks were offered after the meal - together with a tasty signature Discover Airlines warm cookie.
We passed Corsica and more drinks were constantly offered - I decided for a Gin Tonic.
We started descend into a partly clouded Mallorca and landed on time.
Parking at our final position.

First Discover review on FR?
Thanks for sharing Alex, 4Y seems to fit in nicely with cousin WK into the LH Group model and provide some healthy competition to DE. Interesting that the main dish is the smaller plate on the tray.
Nice to see the first report on Discover on the English site! It's always interesting to me how these LH Group leisure subsidiaries, like 4Y and WK have better amenities than mainline LH Group carriers for short-haul. The streaming IFE is definitely nice to have on flights over 2h. I wish streaming IFE would become more widespread on intra-European flights---this is definitely an area where European carriers are lagging US carriers...ok, probably the only area haha.
Thanks for sharing!
