Hi everyone,
Here is the continuation of my trip between Victoria Falls and Harare in October 2016, after spending 3 weeks in Namibia, I wanted to continue my journey for a week in Zimbabwe, after spending 3 days at Victoria Falls here I am on my way to Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, I was originally supposed to take a double domestic flight via Bulawayo with the MA60 of which only a few copies have been built and of which Air Zimbabwe has 1 or 2 copies, unfortunately my flight was cancelled and I was re-registered on the direct flight in the afternoon between Victoria Falls and Harare.
The Victoria Falls airport is modern, it was still under construction at that time, an agreement with the Chinese government was done and they invested heavily in Zimbabwe and also built the new terminal.

Check-in was done at a dedicated area for Air Zimbabwe which was only operating the flight to the capital that day, other flights are also operated to Johannesburg or other cities in Zimbabwe.

That afternoon, only a few flights were operating one by Comair on behalf of British Airways and the Air Zimbabwe flight

The company has its own sales counter with only one person who takes care of ticket sales and the arrival and departure of the flight. I also went to see her when I arrived from Windhoek because it was by chance that I checked the schedule of my flight between VFA and HRE and saw that my flight did not longer operate. I had booked the plane ticket on Expedia but they sent me an email that went unnoticed among the 4 advertising emails sent daily to my mailbox, thank you Expedia. Expedia with whom I will no longer book a ticket, I went through them because at the base the airport taxes were included in the plane ticket while by the way that the Air Zimbabwe website they were not, finally it turned out that with Expedia either and I had to pay 65 usd more on site for the two flights that I took with Air Zimbabwe, and a complaint was done after coming back to France.

At the gate the 737-200 arrived, it was the Z-WPA Mbuya Nehanda delivered on December 15 1986 to the company (30 years old) but in perfect condition, the cabin was immaculate. So here I am leaving for this little 1 hour flight to Harare, on board 3 cabin crew who will be moderately friendly.

The cabin : a real business class with 12 seats and an economy cabin with 93 seats. What is really cool about the company's planes is that each wall contains images of the different tourist spots in Zimbabwe.

Take off and head for Harare, we have a very nice view of the airport

On this flight the service was the same in business and economy, a packet of crisps and a drink.

view from my seat in Business class and the Engine

on arrival in front of the domestic terminal, built I think at the time of independence, we disembark on the tarmac and I see the plane I was supposed to take the MA60, too bad it will be for next time

the small and old dated domestic terminal in Harare

walking directly to the terminal from the plane

Very fast luggage delivery, we were only 20 passengers on the flight.
Wow! Amazing catch of the Zimbabwe 732!
Very cool to get to fly a 737 classic, especially from such a dream destination. Thanks for another nice exotic report!
