Here is the end of my 1 month trip to Southern Africa with as plane for my last flight, a flight on the Boeing 767-200 ER of Air Zimbabwe.
After spending two beautiful days in Harare, with some photos below, here I am on my way to Harare airport
The Railway station of Harare which is not overused as I think there was only one train a day.

I was there during the Jacaranda flower season which was fantastic

I see that I am the first to make a flight report on the 767 of Air Zimbabwe the Z-WPF delivered on October 30, 1990 to the company (26 years)
Harare Airport control tower and domestic terminal.

The terminal for international flights with the airlines I have never heard of

Checking in for the Johannesburg flight was quick and efficient.

the immigration and security checks also went through quickly. There is no wifi in the terminal, it doesn't matter I was busy doing some plane spotting since there was a large bay window which allows you to take photos including the 767 which I was going to take.

boarding was quick, the flight was not be full to Joburg, not even 50% full
the plane has a first Class whose side seats will be hidden, I think it is the same plane used by Mugabe during his trips abroad and I imagine that is why they are hidden by a curtain.
Then a small Business with leather seats, a small economy also with leather seats and the second economy cabin with fabric seats.

Very unique and interesting review, the product doesn't seem great but it's a rare aircraft and airline. The photos from QRA are a nice addition. Thanks for sharing
Your welcome. The on flight product was OK when you see what most airlines offer on a 2h flight.
That's true, SAA is probably better but not that much.
Hi Titi2016, such a fascinating report, in fact the whole the series has been with Air Namibia as well. Very rarely do we see (or at least me) a report on the 767-200 so that in itself is fascinating.
I have to say, those seats look mightily comfortable compared to modern day seats. Would have loved to have seen the first class cabin had it not been sectioned off.
lol. In all honestly, if you were a regular that was flying these routes with Air Zim a lot, I feel like it would be quite nice to see familiar faces onboard. It would be like going to the restaurant you visit a lot, they already know what you are going to order.
Thanks for sharing! And thanks for sharing this cool bonus at the end.
Yes I wanted to take some pictures of the first class but it there was side windows to close the area like on the air France première during boarding and I was asked by the crew not to take pictures of first class. As I guess it was only used when Mugabe was using the planei really recommand visiting Zimbabwe it was a great travel. I beautifully landscape, and friendly people....
