Hello everyone! This is my first report here of Flight-Report.com so I hope it will be good.
About two months before the trip, me and my family had decided to make a 5-week vacation in Florida. The first three weeks my sister and me had been attending to an English school in Fort Lauderdale in order to improve the language. Later we made a tour around Florida visiting Miami, Cape Canaveral, Orlando (Disneyland and Universal Studios obviously), St. Petersburgh, Naples and Florida Keys. As soon as direct flights between Rome (FCO) and Miami with Alitalia were too expensive, the best solution seemed to be with Air Europa via Madrid. Surfing on an Italian aviation forum some weeks before leaving I discovered that Madrid-Miami route of Air Europa would have been operated with…….DREAMLINER
I left from Rome the 25th July. Cause of my tiredness I didn’t take any photo of the flight between Rome and Madrid. I just took this picture out of Terminal 1 of Rome-Fiumicino Airport.
When I got on the plane I gave the flight report form to the Purser and the Captain kindly filled it with a lot of information.
But now let’s talk about this flight. The transfer in Madrid was quite smooth and in a short time I reached the gate A2. Obviously my attention was immediately caught by the beautiful Dreamliner, painted in LOT Polish Airlines livery. This Boeing 787-8 (SP-LRF) is in wet-leasing from the Polish carrier and since April 2015 is used on the Air Europa’s daily route between Madrid and Miami.
The boarding started with a delay of about 20 minutes. Just boarded the crew informed us that the flight would have a delay of one hour for transferring passengers. I didn’t care about it (one hour more on that beauty!) and I took my seat, 15C. Having my sister at the window seat made me take some photos without any problem. I gave the flight report form to the beautiful blonde Polish hostess (no pic of her sorry) that seemed to be “worried” by that paper; after a bit of explanation she brought it to the Captain.
After about 40/45 minutes we finally left. The IFE was activated soon after the take-off. The kind cabin crew started the lunch service about one hour and half after TO. They were extremely available with passengers. The main course was chicken served with mushrooms and rice. There was also a side of vegetarian cous cous, and a sickly sweet. The lunch was generally good, not more and not less than other Economy Class’ meals.
After lunch I spent my time watching two movies (American Sniper and Kingsman), walking around the plane and trying to sleep.
Two hours before landing the snack was served. It was made of three small pizzas and a choice of drinks.
Descending in Miami the weather started to change: from sunny to rainy and cloudy just landed. It was really impossible to take any picture in Miami for the fogged window.
While disembarking the plane the purser gave me back the flight report, filled listlessly.
The route to the Immigration Hall was incredibly long. As soon as we had gone to USA two years before and our VISA was still valid we had, fortunately, the possibility to use a fast-lane and in about one hour we were out of the airport.

Conclusion
This was my second time flying with Air Europa but the first in Economy Class. My impression was generally good also because they use a new plane. The seat is comfortable and the IFE has a good choice of movies, some of them also in Italian. The food was quite decent and the crew very good and kind. When they saw me walking to the galley for some water they asked me if I like the plane and stuff like this. The plane is very quiet and so it's very easy to relax and sleep

Great FR. Thanks for sharing. It's kind of strange that they use another airline under Air Europa's name. If they change the logo temporarily it'd be great too :)
I'm glad you appreciate it Benoit75008 ;) The seats are of the right width and pitch. Actually I'm tall and big but I had no problem to sleep in that seat
Great FR, and what an interesting situation with the 788.
How odd that it's (apparently) a short-term enough wet lease to keep the LO livery, but long-term enough to slap the UX logo onto it as well. If they've had it since April, that seems pretty long-term. Were FAs and flight crew in LOT uniforms, or Air Europa?
Thank you for the appreciation ;) Actually I don't remember about crew uniforms but I'm sure that Captain and FO were Polish and cabin crew was both Poloish and Spanish

I'm astonished they kept it in LO delivery.
Seats are not a bit narrow?
