The flight leaves at ungodly hour of 7:25 am, and that means getting up at 4 am to get to Adelaide Airport (note: we were warned by Cathay of a potential strike which did not happen)
When we reached ADL, the sun has not come out yet!

The CX check-in counters, to the right of the security

CX J passenger is granted access to the QF Club

Very proactive service in the lounge: the lounge attendant immediately came and offered me coffee or tea. I took tea. Other than that, the lounge hot food selection is somewhat limited.

In ADL, the concourse is shared between domestic and international flights. So we needed to leave the club early to clear departure immigration. When we reached the contained area, the flight was not boarding yet.

Pre-breakfast drinks: Smoothie and Fruit Juice

Cold plates: Fruits, Bread/Pastries of choice, Museli. Tasted okay, portions a bit small though. Definitely liked the strawberry jam

Hot plate: Omelette. Very disappointing: the omelette was so overcooked that it was so tough like plastic. Did not eat much.

The bed: incredible width and length. Not bad.

Pre-lunch drinks: Champagne, Sparkling Water and Nuts.

Starter: Everything bar the bread was ice cold, but the bread was lukewarm. Worst garlic bread I have ever had in my life!

A mean cup of HK style milk tea was one of the best things of Cathay J

Another thing of Cathay J is the good amenity kit

Thus ending the somewhat underwhelming J trip with Cathay

Thanks for the report HMLAM0627. Too bad the flight was not up to par. I fear CX might be suffering from the dreaded inconsistency that turns good airlines into merely average airlines. Careless heating of the meals is certainly a symptom.
The sunrise picture is stunning!
Thanks again and happy flying.
Thank you Socalnow. I completely agree with your comments. I recently flew BA in their Club World - though dubbed as the world's worst business class by some, I was happier a man after the flight than I was with CX. Quite worrying to be honest!
