Hello and welcome to my America Trip of 2017.
Planned flights:
TLV (Tel Aviv, Israel) -> IST (Istanbul, Turkey) TK Y B77W YOU ARE HERE!/VOUS ETES ICI!
IST (Istanbul, Turkey) -> BOG (Bogota, Columbia) TK Y A332
BOG (Bogota, Columbia) -> PTY (Panama City, Panama) TK Y A332
PTY (Panama City, Panama) -> SJO (San Jose, Costa Rica) CM Y B73G
SJO (San Jose, Costa Rica) -> EWR (Newark, NJ, USA) UA Y B738
EWR (Newark, NJ, USA) -> TLV (Tel Aviv, Israel) UA Y B77W
I'd arrived at airport 3 hours before the departure as of some busy traffic cause the summer. However, I passed the whole check in 20 minutes.
As of my high status in Star Alliance, I could use the business class desk:

Turkish Airlines makes their check in process on the landing floor along with Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines. Then you have to go to the main departure floor:

The way to the duty-free:

There is a big departure screen in the duty-free area:

I didn't buy anything at the duty-free. Instead of that, I did some spotting before the dark. There wasn't a lot of traffic in those hours.
Transavia 737-800 landed from Amsterdam (AMS) and Noes 737-800 before departure to Milan (MXP):

Conclusion

It was a nice flight with Turkish. I like to get such a huge plane for 1:40 hours of flight. Also, this flight is nice because you are departing at night.
The crew wasn't so friendly on this flight, for example, they said that I can't take a photo of the departure!
The meal was really good.
I will fly with TK again! even there were some passengers that made some noise and distributed to my and to the other passengers.

  • Great Report!

One small thing to note - United no longer flies out of JFK. Their last flight was a 757 to SFO a few years ago. Both daily flights from New York to Tel Aviv depart out of Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR).

Thanks again for this report, and happy flying.

  • Great flight report!

The distance between your legs and the seat in front of you looks very tight, is it?
