Jetstar Japan
This is return leg of my trip to Tokyo.jetstar is the most biggest japanese LCC.I took advantage of their price guarantee, booked it at $40 .Great price for a vacation season.
I went to the airport by train. It took 2hours to airport.
Train station was located under terminal 2,so I had to catch a shuttle bus for terminal 3(Depart every 5 minutes). It took 3 minutes.
Terminal 3 was not gorgeous and big. However,In view of the customer flow,It was well considered.Customer flow was indicated by ground. It looks like playground track.I felt it was more intuitive than other airports.
And Big food court was located in front of security-check point.
At the gate,All passenger must check their baggage weight and tag to prove their baggage is within 7KG.
My baggage was 7.5kg,but I could go through without problem.
In terminal 3,There were no boarding bridges because of operational cost cut.So I walked down stairs and headed to aircraft.
My seat was 3A.Little close to main exit.
Seat pitch was small. But They operate domestic market mainly, this point is not big issue.
On the other hand,Seat are too slim and hard.I felt uncomfortable with my back during a entire flight.
After safety demonstration,Very very long taxiing started,It took 40 minutes.
During taxiing,I saw a lot of aircrafts take-off and land on the RWY 16 R.
After seat belt sign was turn off,Cabin crew started sales.
On the menu,There are tons of hot meals and drink.Interestingly,I found train map and they were selling train ticket.
Japanese train network is complicated,so It may be bit convenience for foreign traveler.
After one hour,Seat belt sign was turn-on.Destination weather was bad and rainy,Approach was bumpy. At 5pm,We landed chitose airport on time.
During disembarking,I asked cabin crew to show me the cockpit.Thankfully,She accepted my offer.I can visit a cockpit.
Thank you for the report. The seat pitch s really small ! I understand you live in Hokkaido, you are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Japan !
Thank you for your comment.
Yes,Hokkaido is a beautiful place for both living and sightseeing.I love here,Thank you!
Living, sightseeing, and EATING \^w^/ ! I spent only a few days in Hokkaido, but had delicious seafood, beer, ramen, and jingisukan.
Nice to see that.If you have opportunity,Please visit again and explore new place.
Airfare is becoming cheaper than previous in Japan, thanks to LCC!!
Hahah, will do for sure ! Japan (and Hokkaido) is big, I need to explore more.... When I have the money to pay a trip from Europe to Japan of course. As a foreigner I can have cheap tickets with JAL and ANA in addition to LCCs. With this and the Japan Rail Pass, transportation in Japan is cool for foreigners.... See you next time !
