Pre Flight @ AUH
When I woke up in the morning after my stay in the AEROTL Abu Dhabi Airport, I felt really refreshed and ready for my last flight back home to MUC.
I had to leave my hotel room exactly after 6h, so I still had about 2.5h until my departure.
AUH airport was already very busy in the morning, so I spend the time and searched for some more souvenirs for my family.

Flight EY003
Boarding was slightly delayed and when I got onto the aircraft it was still refuelled.

Todays flight was - once again - full!
I did not see any empty seates in the back of the aircraft.
Here's my view during the time we had to wait for push back.

There was alreay quite some action going on at AUH.
Lots of A380's, B777's and B787's get ready for their long haul flight "from Abu Dhabi to the world"!

We lined up and made a flying start!

Great view across the new Terminal building which is under construction at AUH.

Departure was into the East, so we flew directly over Yas Marina.
Great view across Ferrari World and Yas Marina Circuit - great memories back to the F1 Final 2016! :)

The weather over the Persian Gulf was awesome!
No thick clouds, blue sky …. crystal clear and no bumps!

As usual on EY flights, shortly after takeoff a snack and drink was served.
Once again the obligatory crackers!

Lunch was served as we left the Persian Gulf and passed Kuwait.
It was offered lamb or fish. This time I choose the Fish and was very happy.
Starter was some bean salad and of course a cake as dessert.

Weather over Iraq and Turkey was okay but sometimes we had do clear some thick clouds which resulted in some bumps.
Overall the weather was good for flying.

Halfway done.

Over South-Eastern Europe the airspace is always very very busy.
I was able to see a lot of traffic around us.

When we started the descend into MUC over Austria the clouds became thicker and thicker.

But when we passed the fluffy clouds, the weather got better … but very windy.

The approach was very unstable because of the wind.
Great to see a parallel approach on the other runway - CONDOR B767.

Shortly after the CONDOR B767 touched down - we touched down!
And here I was … back home again!
From one side of the world to the other side of the world!

SQ A350 got ready to head back home to SIN.

We arrived once again at the Satellite Terminal 2 in MUC. This time disembarkation and everything else went much better than on previous flights.
One last look across my EY B777-300ER that day.

Post Flight @ MUC
Nothing special to mention about the post flight activities, only that it took about 45min to get my luggage.
But well … my luggage made it from MEL to MUC with a 9h layover in AUH and did not get lost! That's always good. ;)
One last look across the aproon in MUC.

Thanks for this FR.
Decent service, but I think they should serve a snack before landing instead of one before the meal.
Good for EY that their flights are full, in many FRs on the ME3 it was common to have a 50% load only.
