Just arrived from Los Angeles on Sichuan 8700. Jinan airport doesn't have any sort of information on connecting from international to domestic, I had to re-enter the airport building. It was not a pleasant experience.
Check-in was easy and painless, now headed to security
security took 15 minutes during the morning rush
Not a lot of food option here at Jinan. I had Chinese noodle, which was absolute tasteless, and it cost me 80 RMB ~ $12 quite expensive

I see it's a bit better. I've had awesome flights, only to be disturbed by some sort of ATC delay. I've been served hot meals on 2 hour flights on different carriers
I was served a hot meal on CA flying PEK-ICN and back. The flight was only 1.5 hours..Definitely surprising that they'll do that but I certainly don't mind.
It seems to be norm for Chinese full service carriers and even some LCCs to serve hot meals during domestic flights.
