Just arrived from Los Angeles on Sichuan 8700. Jinan airport doesn't have any sort of information on connecting from international to domestic, I had to re-enter the airport building. It was not a pleasant experience.
Check-in was easy and painless, now headed to security
security took 15 minutes during the morning rush Not a lot of food option here at Jinan. I had Chinese noodle, which was absolute tasteless, and it cost me 80 RMB ~ $12 quite expensive Arrived at gate boarding B-1660 3 year old at time of flight Cabin looks nice and fresh happy knees at 32'' The seats on this A320 is way better than my experience on A332 from Los Angeles QR code Wechat is a huge thing in China Window seat Taxiing Takeoff Cruise FL300 Refreshments Peanut Cookie Jelly cake Chinese iced tea Not bad for a 2 hour flight huh? Conclusion
Sichuan air is one of the best choice for domestic flights. The flight was pleasant although the cabin crews didn't seem happy to be on this flight. I'd love to fly Sichuan again, but only domestic. There was no entertainment on this flight except for airline magazine which was in Chinese.

I was served a hot meal on CA flying PEK-ICN and back. The flight was only 1.5 hours..Definitely surprising that they'll do that but I certainly don't mind.

I see it's a bit better. I've had awesome flights, only to be disturbed by some sort of ATC delay. I've been served hot meals on 2 hour flights on different carriers
I was served a hot meal on CA flying PEK-ICN and back. The flight was only 1.5 hours..Definitely surprising that they'll do that but I certainly don't mind.
It seems to be norm for Chinese full service carriers and even some LCCs to serve hot meals during domestic flights.
