Introduction
This report is from a trip in June 2016. I was in Melbourne and had to fly to Sydney for work.
Drive to Airport
I was in Berwick in South-East Melbourne and the flight being the morning. Wasn't practical to take train to Southern Cross station and change over to Skybus. Train trip would have taken about 1 hrs and further wait time for bus and adding another 1/2 hr to airport. Decided to park the car at the Long term Parking. I had paid for the parking online and was ready for the trip.

Long Term Parking
Found parking space, parked near the airport shuttle bus stop. Buses are frequent and soon was on bus to Terminal. After de-boarding the bus, walked towards Terminal 4.
Took photo to remember the bay I had parked.
Check-In
I was early for the flight.
Tigerair offers web check-in. I completed the check-in online the previous day and had printed the boarding pass.
I wasn't carrying any check-in bags, skipped the check-in counters and headed to security. After a quick security check, I was in the departure area.
Departures Schedule
Departures for the day hadn't commenced.
With time on hand, I had breakfast and coffee before heading to the waiting area.

Virgin Australia B737
Boarding
Boarding for the flight commenced on time, After scanning the boarding pass was allowed to proceed towards the aircraft.
Since my seat was in the rear of the aircraft, boarded through the rear door. The seat on this flight had cloth material.

Seating
Tigerair being a low cost carrier operates mostly A320 with 3-3 seating in all economy configuration. I checked in late and couldnt chose the window or aisle seat. I had to select middle seat for this short flight.
Window view
As my co-passenger in window seat hadn't arrived, I was able to take the window view shot.
While passengers were boarding, baggage was being loaded on the flight.
Boarding almost complete
My co-passenger arrived and soon embarkation process was completed. Flight was full.
Cabin view
Cabin crew closed and checked the overhead lockers were closed. Door were closed.
Ready for pushback
Safety demonstration was provided by the crew manually. Pushback commenced shortly after crew conducted safety check.
Departure
Departure was short taxi to runway passing the Qantas /Jetstar terminal. Taxi and hold was short as Qantas B737 took before Tigerair lined on the runway. Took off towards the West before turning North towards Sydney.

Since this was a short flight, on attaining cruising altitude. seat belt sign was switched off. Crew commenced BOB service as I had my breakfast early skipped and rested for the rest of the flight.
Arrival in Sydney
Time passed quickly and soon it was landing time, As it was a wet day in Sydney, passed through the clouds before land appeared. Approach was from the South to land on runway 34L.

Landing in Sydney
It was a wet day in Sydney. Flight had arrived on time. After a short taxi reached Terminal 2 gate.
Deboarding
As it was raining outside, deboarded through the aerobridge and then walked towards the terminal exit.
Domestic Train Station
As I was travelling with carryon bag for work. I didn't have to wait for bags, After exiting the arrival area, headed to the domestic airport train station
Scanned the Opal card to enter the station area and proceeded to platform 1 to catch train to Central
After alighting at Central station after 15 mins, took the T1 line train from platform 18 to Wynyard Station.
Being a short trip domestic flight. Chose Tigerair due to cost. I had completed check-in online, flight departed and arrived on time. As I had parked at the airport, had to take shuttle bus which was frequent. Melbourne Terminal 4 is a big improvement over the previous building. Security was quick, Food at the terminal is reasonably priced. Sydney airport was quick exit as I didn't have check-in bag. Sydney airport train access fee is steep for the distance travelled. Overall satisfactory flight.
