This will be just a short report on my last weekend trip to Penang, flying up on Scoot and returning on JetStar.
Checked in via the self-checkin kiosks and boarding pass receipt issued.

Had a delicious Korean rice cake in spicy soup meal at TGM Café, compliments of Priority Pass.

Departure Gate was changed to the far end at F59.

Small yellow birdie operating the short flight. To be frank, I would rather be flying on the SQ B787 taxiing past to the adjacent gate.

Boarding in progress.

Standard LCC cabin and seats.

Boarding in progress. It was almost a totally full flight.

Very tight legroom, made worse at the last row where I was seated.

Ads for the Singapore Grand Prix on the headrest covers.

Literature in the seat pocket.

Departed on schedule and a buy-on-board service was swiftly conducted.

Very soon, we descended and landed in Penang.

Stayed at St Giles Wembley at Georgetown for this short trip.

More Penang street food, including Char Kuay Teow, oyster omelette and chendol.

View from my hotel room.

Hearty dimsum breakfast at Restaurant Zim Sum.

Exploring GeorgeTown, including visits to a couple of temples.

Khoo Kongxi and a tourist street.

Cooling down with a latte in a café.

Nasi lemak and an assortment of nonya kuehs for tea.

My all-time favourite duck kuay chup along Kimberley Street.

And more street eats, including Penang laksa, lor bak and more char kuay teow.

A&W dessert

Judging by the sequence of your BP, you checked in online hence the seating all the way behind. The trick with scoot is to check in at the airport and only do it about an hour out. 9 out of 10 times I have gotten the emergency row for free.
