Hi guys. Welcome to my next report on Flight-Report. Today, I will fly with Vietnam Airlines from Denpasar to Ho Chi Minh City on Airbus A321. But first, please check out my trip report about this flight on YouTube. This video is more detailed than the script version on Flight-Report and has more special things there, so I hope you guys will check out, like the video and support to my channel by subscribe Vinavia on YouTube :D
And here is the script report. Hope you guys will enjoy :D
Today's flight would start at International Terminal, Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali.
Today, I would fly on flight VN640 to Ho Chi Minh City, and the estimated departure time would be 4.50 pm.
Before entering the terminal, I had to clear the first round of security check.
The views of departure hall
Vietnam Airlines' check-in area was really crowded at that time.
30 minutes later, I finally got my boarding pass. Now, let's get through immigration and security check.
Both immigration and security check procedure were fast, so I quickly got into airside.
On the way to the gate, I walked through a big area of duty free shops.
Let's go to the departure gate for this flight right now.
My departure gate was located at the end of the concourse, so I had to walk a long to get there.
Waiting area at the gate
My aircraft for this flight finally arrived from Ho Chi Minh City. This Airbus A321 with the registration of VN-A332, and it was 8.3 years old.
And this was the departure gate for this flight: gate 9B.
Here was my seat on this flight: seat 23A.
Legroom was decent like many other A321s of Vietnam Airlines.
View from my window, and cabin view from my seat.
Refreshing tissue was handed out, and safety video was aired on the screens before pushback.
40 minutes after boarding, the aircraft started to pushback and taxi to the runway.
After take-off, the crews started to distribute headphones.
And this was a pair of headphones that I got.
Some TV shows and documentaries were aired on the screens throughout the flight.
In order to listen to those shows, you have to plug in the headphones in the AVOD controller.
25 minutes after take-off, hot meals were served. There were 2 choices of meals: Beef with potato or fish with rice.
And I chose the beef option on this flight.
Main course: Braised beef with potatoes and vegetables.
Appetizer: Glass noodle salad with chicken and ham.
Bread roll and butter
And a banana.
Drinks were served shortly after that.
On this flight, I asked for a cup of orange juice.
Like on the last outbound flight, this meal was pretty large and very delicious. (Check out my last flight report with Vietnam Airlines' A321 from Ho Chi Minh City to Denpasar: https://flight-report.com/en/report/45727/vietnam-airlines-vn641-ho-chi-minh-city-sgn-denpasar-dps)
View from my window, and cabin view from my seat during the flight.
In the seat pocket, I had: a sickness bag, a safety card, and an inflight magazine of Vietnam Airlines called Heritage.
Let's have a look at the lavatory in the back of the cabin. This lavatory was basic, but it was well-equipped and pretty clean, too.
Night had fallen, and the view outside the window was completely dark at this time.
Before descending, cabin light was turned on and drinks were served.
Again, I took a cup of orange juice for myself.
After over 3 hours, the aircraft started to descend and prepared for landing.
My journey had ended at International Terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City. Thank you for reading and watching, and see you in the next report :D
The check-in process was really long and time-consuming, mainly because the staffs had to do a manual process. The cabin was really nice & clean, and the seat interiors were basic & typical of Vietnam Airlines' Airbus A321s. The flight departed just a bit late but arrived on time. Even though the IFE system on this A321 was not so advanced and quite outdated, but more importantly it's better than nothing. Again, Vietnam Airlines did a great job at providing great meals on international flights, included this flight. The crews were very gentle and professional. They did a great job on this flight. In conclusion, I had a great time being on this flight. Also, I have enjoyed a lot of spectacular views during the flight, especially the views of Indonesia landscapes.
