Arriving at Airport
Arrived at Southern Cross station to catch Skybus. Took about 40 mins to reach airport.

Upon reaching terminal, headed for meal at the domestic terminal. View from restaurant.


I waited at the restaurant for sometime after meal.

Melbourne control tower in view below. Construction was on to expand the terminal.

Check-in and Security
I walked to Tiger Terminal which is few meters from the Virgin Domestic terminal. Completed check-in, then security. Formalities completed, boarding had began. Walk to aircraft.
Boarding
Waited for boarding call, queue was formed to walk towards the aircraft.

Boarding was conducted from both doors.

Embarkation
Crew checked the boarding pass of every passenger entering the aircraft as other flights were also boarding.

I did not select seat and got middle seat of starboard side.

Flight was full.

Departure
Doors were closed soon after passengers had boarded. Crew demonstrated safety instructions manually. Pushback commenced and after a long taxi, Departed towards the West and then turned north.

Seat pocked contained safety card, Buy on Board [BOB] menu and inflight magazine - Tiger tales.

Most passengers were resting, as the crew conduced BOB service.


Arrival in Sydney
Soon it was arrival time, Pilot came on speaker and announced descend. Approach was from South landing on runway 34L. After a short taxi arrived at the gate.

As I was not having check-in bags, I walked out towards the train station.

RIP Tiger Airways Australia ...VA still own the brand apparently and say they may bring them back someday if demand picks back up. We'll see!

Tiger Airways was good alternative to Jetstar, offering competitive price. I chose to fly Tiger Airways on numerous flight due to price difference.
Hopeful Rex and new airline coming offer similar offering. Thanks for your comment. ?
