With the new Virgin Atlantic alliance with AF / KL, we decided to take the opportunity to fly on the Virgin A350 from LHR to JFK in economy. We were able to earn XP points and miles however was no lounge for Elite Plus members at this time. I believe this has since changed.
Views of the beautiful A350-1000, G-VPOP, named ‘Mamma Mia’ for flight VS137 to JFK.

I was surprised to see signage for SkyPriority boarding too. Soon we were onboard the pretty full flight.
Views from seat 51A. Parked next to a BA One World jumbo. If only we knew their fate was sealed in the coming months ahead.

Most economy seats were taken. After a warm welcome from the pilots, we were on way to the runway. I love the onboard cameras on the A350!

Race across the Atlantic….

Lunch was tasty and the friendly crew kept us topped up with plenty drinks - not all bottles are mine :)

Gluten free option for my travel companion.

Crew were really friendly and helpful which made the trip extra nice! Before long we were approaching the USA…

Pre-arrival sandwich and scone was served. Opted for some coffee this time.

Over Long Island for JFK

Thanks for the report. Such a good on-board product!

Thanks, I agree ?
Been wanting to try them out myself for long, yet haven't had the time nor the destination I wanted to go. How was the seat pitch on their flight? Thanks for your report.
From what I recall, seat pitch wasn't too bad at all Thomas.
Very nice report as always! A beautiful aircraft inside and out. The cabin looks really nice and the service above average for a short TATL flight. Certainly better than BA.
Thanks for sharing!
