Welcome back to the second part of my FR series about my trip from Tel Aviv to Prague and back and today wer'e gonna cover the flight from Vienna to Prague on OS E159 including lounge entry.

So I arrived at Vienna at 18:35 which is much more than enough time for this connection, as my flight departs at 21:45. After deboarding I went to passport control as I'm getting into the Schengen zone, Which took around 5-10 but was still quite efficient, And then to Security check which also took some time.
Then I was already in the airside, And since I knew I would have some time to pass here I bought lounge access during online check-in through Austrian website which costs 39€, Now let's see if it's worth the price.
That's what the airside looks like:
After a while I finally found the way to my lounge, which is really confusing since you have to go towards the international area even though it's a Schengen lounge.
That part of the airport looks from above very similar to a famous shopping mall in Tel Aviv somehow.
The receptionist at the lounge entrance was a bit rude as she asked me something like ''Why do you think you can enter the lounge?'' but then I showed her my boarding pass and she finally let me in.
As It's my first time in a lounge I didn't really know what to expect, This one looks nice and cosy although not as fancy as others may be.
There is also this resting area and a TV area.
For the food part, There was a decent selection of hot cold and alcohlic drinks, as well as some starters and salads, breads, soup, few main courses and limited selection of cakes and cookies.
It was definitely enough for me, the food was delicous, there was a proper WI-FI, power outlets, and of course a comfortable and quiet area to spend the time, so yes, for me it was totally worth the money. Now it's time to board our short flight to Prague.
we got a remote stand gate but luckily our gate is on the close side of the F concourse as it's really long (I think around 40 gates). After a short delay, Boarding started.
Our ride for today's flight is this nice little Embraer 195 registered OE-LWG, delivered in 2011.
Boarding was smooth and quick (only 1 bus required), the crew welcomed us onboard ands I went to my seat 4A, On the first row of Economy class. The legroom was good but the seat itself was thin and hard, as I would expect for such aircraft. Flight was around 50% full so most passengers got a row for themselves, except me.
Another disadvantage of this aircraft is that the windows are located only between the rows to the view is not the best…
That's what i could capture, OS862 lands from TLV in retro livery
Tiny water bottles were given before depature:
Then we were ready for departure but there was a queue so we took off in a short delay.
The flight was smooth and relaxed, Buisness class passengers were given cold meal boxes and economy got only the usual chocolate.
The descent into Prague was beautiful and we could the whole city from above, Unfourtantley I couldn't catch it properly.
Then we landed at Prague just on time and taxied to a remote stand while it started to rain.
Then we were bussed to the terminal, The arrival process was super efficient and quick, I only had to take my baggage which I didn't even had to wait for and within less than 30 minutes from landing I was already on the bus towards the city. Quickly afterwards I went to my hotel at the city center (Hotel Assenzio, Prague 2) and strated my 4.5 days great vacation in Prague.
(The arrival hall pictures were taken on another day).
Thanks for sharing this FR!
I see you met your first lounge dragon^^ I would say that 39 EUR is a reasonable price, especially for a longer layover. As you said, you aren’t going to get food/drinks in the terminal for that much cheaper based on the quantity you ate. The OS Lounge is not the fanciest, but still worthwhile considering what other lounges charge for entry and the quality of their Do&Co catering.
I think this is row dependent on the E-195s. The catering is above average, it is nice that they provide water bottles, most other carriers would only give the chocolate with no drink service on such a short flight.
