Hello everyone! This report will cover the domestic trips from Munich to Berlin with Lufthansa. This would be the first time i flew with Lufthansa after the pandemic.
Flight routing
- 1Munich MUC - Berlin Brandenburg BER
- 2
On the day of flight I arrived the airport at 16:20pm, roughly one and half hour prior to the departure.

I did the online check-in the day before and had the boarding pass already stored in the mobile phone. Since I booked with Economy light fare, the change of the seat would cost €25. This was the new rule which came into effect from 21.06.2022. Luckily I got a window seat which was really fine for me.

My flight would depart from G34 today.

The new Lufthansa check-in machines

Since I did not have any luggage to check, I went directly through the security check in no time. BMW display as usual after security check.

I reached at the gate but the plane had not arrived yet. Our flight was also codeshared with TAP Air Portugal as TP7718.

There were some free magazines and a coffee machine. All coffees costed Euro €2.

At 16:46pm our ride showed up in front of the gate, arriving from Berlin as LH1941.

B-AIBC, A319-100 delivered to Lufthansa in June 2010. It carries the name "Siegburg" with the new livery.

The Airbus A319 is configured with 138 seats, and I was going to seat at 19A.

Then I decided to walk around the terminal. TAP Air Portugal A321neo CS-TVD to Lisbon as TP553.

Lufthansa CityLine CRJ-900, D-ACNW was preparing its flight to Amsterdam as LH2308 at 17:35pm.

Lufthansa A321-200, D-AIDH to Berlin Brandenburg airport as LH1948 at 17:00pm.

As boarding time approached, I returned to my gate. Eventually boarding started at 17:29pm. It began with priority group 1 and 2. I was in group 3 which was followed in minutes later.

Before stepping in the aircraft.

My seat, 19A. Recaro BL3520 "NEK" slimline seats. Seat pitch is 30 inches.

View outside my seat. TAP Air Portugal A321neo was still there.

Seat pocket items. Lufthansa magazine was not available anymore since the beginning of pandemic.

At 17:46pm boarding was completed and flight time would be 55 minutes as announced. Eventually pushback started at 17:54pm. We had a full loading tonight and those who got onboard at the later stage, struggling to find a space for their suitcase. Towards the end of boarding, a young lady came and sat next to me. She was quite unlucky because another passenger behind thought the seat was not occupied and stored his hand luggage underneath the seat in front of her…

Entering the runway for departure.

Finally we took off from RWY26R at 18:08pm.

seconds after takeoff.

Breaking through the clouds with the setting sun.

5 Minutes after takeoff, FlyNet was available. There were information about the flight time information, but no flightmap. I did not install the Flynet app, just opened it from the browser.

Almost the same time, the cabin crew was giving us the Lufthansa chocolate and some minutes later i got a bottle of water. From spring 2021, Lufthansa no longer offered free drink and snacks in economy class. Instead BOB services will be offer for flight time over one hour.

At 18:35pm, announcement from cockpit that we had left our cruising altitude and commenced the descend into Berlin Brandenburg airport.

FlyNet was showing a bit more information. The remaining flight time was 20 minutes and we were going to arrive at 18:54pm at gate B20.

Shortly before touchdown.

Finally, we landed at 18:58pm, total flight time was 50 minutes. We parked at B20 gate in terminal 1. It would fly back to Munich as LH1951.

Thanks for reading.
Such a short flight so not surprised there is no time to bring out the BOB items for sale. I will commend LH for at least distributing a bottle of water and a chocolate. In comparison, most US carriers have no service at all on short flights under 1h like this, or water is just on request. Thanks for sharing!
