Welcome to my third report of my European adventure! Today's flight will surprisingly be my first flight on an Airbus A320neo! It will also be my first time on this airline that until I was looking for flights to Rome, I've never heard of before called Sky Express, and I will be headed to Rome on their A320neo.

Welcome to Athens International Airport!
Let's check in for this flight to Rome!
After clearing security, I have to go through duty-free. I'm not a big fan of airports that are laid out like this, like FRA and BER. I shouldn't have to go through duty-free in order to reach my gate!
Finally, after the mandatory duty-free visit, let's head to the gate!
Here's my ride for today! This is SX-NIG, a 2020-built A320neo, originally destined for Mexican airline Interjet, but it was never delivered to them as they went out of business before they could take delivery of this plane. This plane was even painted in the Interjet livery! After returning to the lessor for a bit, it was delivered to Sky Express on March 25, 2021. Interjet opted to install CFM LEAP-1A engines on this A320neo.
Gate area.
Let's board this Neo!
Onboard
This particular A320neo features 174 Geven Essenza seats which are the original Interjet seats.
You can see the printed Spanish and English warnings under the damaged Greek and English warning labels, a sign of the previously intended customer.
Window view, you can see a Brussels A320, as well as the wing and a LEAP 1A of this A320neo.
Seat pocket contents consisted of a safety card, air-sickness bag, and something not too common these days: an in-flight magazine!
Legroom isn't bad.
Surprisingly, there's also a power outlet AND a USB-A port!
Departure
Taxiing to the runway.
Rome, here I go!
In-Flight
There was buy-on-board, but I didn't buy anything from there. There was free water and coffee, along with a savory sesame biscuit offered, alongside a refresing towelette.
Overall, a pretty good service! A bit more substantial than the free service from Lufthansa on a flight a bit longer, which was just a bottle of water and a piece of chocolate.
After the service, I checked out the lavatory. Nothing special about it, but at least it was clean, functional, and in good working order.
The Sky Express A320neo doesn't have WiFi onboard.
At least I downloaded something on my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. I did the tablet hack again, and I actually saw a few people using their tablets like this, too!
Arrival
Coming in to land in FCO!
Welcome to Rome!
The A320neo is now parked at a bus gate, but with a jetway!
One last look at the cabin of the Neo.
And of the Neo itself.
And with that, that concludes this flight report!
Nice to see a review on the Sky Express 32N as there aren't too many out there! Great that you got one of the handful of Interjet (NTU) frames as they are more spacious in that Y174 config vs their standard Y186 32Ns. I like the look of the Geven Essenza seat--it's one of the better slimline designs and great on an A320 family as it makes maximum use of the extra width compared to a 737. Sky Express seem like a cool little airline and there doesn't seem to be a marked difference in product with Aegean (at least in Y), so a nice option to have to/from Greece. Thanks for sharing!
