This is already the end of my vacation, with some regrets we have to leave the US, not for very long, I'll be back soon, but that's another story and another set of FR's
I was lucky enough to discover the about refurbished Tom Bradley, and although if the TSA and the check in area not completed are, the terminal itself is lovely.
We'll pick up our boarding passes in no time and head for TSA where the wait was quite long, there is no dedicated SP line. Only for First or Business class passengers.
The Sky Team lounge is managed by Korean and no paid access is allowed. If you are Gold/Platinum or Elite Plus, or Business, it's you and a guest. That it is. No need to negociate, the rules are the rules. What a pitty is, is that they considered our child, 3yo, as an adult. My father and my brother will decide to go for a pizza in the terminal, I'll then bring my mom, my sister in law and our princess with me (as my mom also platinum is, we are allowed to have 2 guests)
The lounge looks really great with a mezzanine:

Inside the lounge it looks quite cozy:

The buffet area, just about to be refilled when I took the picture:

A few minutes after, a vast choice of sandwiches will be available. Those were very good. There was as well fruits and veggies, crackers, snacks, a very good coffee machine, alcool and soft drinks. However, I regret that there wasn't anything more substential, like soups or a hot dish. But, again, the sandwiches were fresh and good.
Our selections:

Soon enough it is time to head to the gate, here the whale of the day, Juliet India, the same bird (calling a whale a bird is a non sense ^^) that took me to the FR meeting in NYC.

Boarding will be delayed by twenty minutes as the cabin was not ready. During this time, two First class passengers will wait in the jetty. This was not professional, specially given that the passengers were Donald Sutherland (Hunger Games and Kieffer's dad) and his wife. They are not so young anymore, and this is not an appropriate way to let VIP wait.
Then boarding is launched, with a strict respect of the priorities, but beginning with people needed assistance.
The cabin is still the same, no surprises:

An Emirate 380 arrives, and, for once in LAX, we'll have an ontime push back followed by an on time take off. We'll be treated by very nice views over Marina del Rey, dedicated to my friend JulienIP ;)

Menues are being handed out:

We'll fly over Lake Mead, the Colorado river and the end of the Grand Canyon, you can even spot the GC West Airport on two of the pics. Apero is served while we overfly this.

About to be mandatory shoot:

The fanta had a strange color:

Child meals are handed out first, nuggets and pasta, seems she likes it:

Taking this picture was quite funny as my sister in law was holding the tray for me. She held it in such a way that no matter the angle I used, I had a deep view on her breast. I am allowed to publish pictures of our princess, but my sister in law boobs … no way.
Then comes the adult meals, needless to say I took the chicken:

The salad was not seasonned enough, the chicken was quite good, the cheese and the compot OK, the dessert ways to heavy. Won't finish it.
Lights are shut down and I'll watch two moovies before I head for an ice cream query that I'll locate downstairs ^^
Chocolate fudge ice cream, wonderful! There were sandwiches available as well, but I was looking for sugar!

Two hours before landing, the CHML tray arrives, she won't touch it as she was still sleeping. We'll eat it for her!

And that's for us:

I appreciate AF wanting to serve a hot dish for breakfast, but it was ways to small. Good, but very very small.

Conclusion

That's the end of that series of flights, a nice cabin, a nice crew.
The food was ok, not more not less. The IFE worked nice, we were on time.
My only concern is the KE lounge where the food offering not enough is. LAX's TSA was a pain, and CDG is not that clean, as usual, I would say.

Thanks for following, and see you soon for another trip!!

  • Thanks for sharing this lovely report with great aerials.

Too bad about the KE lounge being so strict. The place looks comfortable and nice though.

  • Great aerial shots, the route to Europe from LAX seems to cross really cool places as one crosses the continent. Catering looked OK, that fanta looked radioactive. The breast episode must have been awkward/funny!

    Thanks for sharing!
