British Airways Frankfurt → London

Good morning from a very dull and miserable Frankfurt.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Today, I'm flying back to London Heathrow with British Airways in Club Europe (Business Class).

British Airways Frankfurt → London

No bag drop needed for me today as I'm travelling light but it appears the BA desks are in the 902-907 regions.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

The EES (European Entry/Exit System) is not going down well at Frankfurt. I was stuck in this queue for just over half an hour.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Thank goodness JAL's First Class Sakura Lounge was there to save me.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

I'm a big fan of the JAL lounges, I think they're understated and very relaxing.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

A spot of breakfast, smoked sausages, scrambled egg and emmental cheese.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

And a delightful slice of this plum crumble cake. Delicious!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Then it was time to head over to the aircraft.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

When flying business class out of Frankfurt, you get to use the Priority Lane at security. Just remember the JAL lounge is before security so leave yourself plenty of time to get through, although, in the Priority Lane, I was through in minutes.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Looking out onto the apron, the fog was crazy. I wonder if this might delay our departure today?

British Airways Frankfurt → London

I spy with my little eye, our aircraft! It's BA's Airbus A320 with the red nose - quite apt for Christmas-time.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

And after being bussed over, it was time to settle in to Club Europe.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

My seat today is 5A, with just 6 rows in total.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

It's in a 3/3 configuration with the middle seat on every row blocked by this cocktail table.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Legroom is the same as economy but not uncomfortable.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

The Captain stated that the fog was causing some issues and to expect roughly a 15-20 minute delay to our departure. The crew came around with shortbread biscuits.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

And then, some bottles of still Harrogate Spring Water.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

After that delay, we roared out of Frankfurt. It really was a foggy day!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

And above the clouds, the sun was shining as always!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

The aircraft has Wi-Fi enabled, although not Starlink. If you're a member of The British Airways Club you get messaging Wi-Fi for free by simply logging in to your account. This allows you to use iMessage, WhatsApp and other messaging applications at no charge.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

If you want further speeds or the ability to stream and browse, the price was £4.99 for the whole flight. Starlink can't come soon enough in my opinion!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Then, lunch was served. Today, a cold prawn salad with boiled egg, olives and a wonderful lemon mustard sauce.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

It was served with a warm white olive roll and butter.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

And dessert was a chocolate mousse with winter spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, topped with a biscuit crumble and redcurrants.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

A full bar was on offer too. I opted for a Coke Zero.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

I even managed to get a sneaky 30-minute nap!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

The toilets were very clean too, the forward toilet being reserved just for Business Class customers.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

All stocked with The White Company amenities.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

The crossing over the North Sea was beautiful.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

We were then told to expect a long delay as we had entered into an extended hold near Heathrow.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

We kept circling, as did lots of other planes. You can see them all in my film! It quite cathartic watching everyone gradually descend!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

And I was sat on the right side to get a beautiful view of the capital!

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Quite substantially behind schedule, we touched down into Heathrow. The delay not really BA's fault on this one.

British Airways Frankfurt → London

Thanks as always for reading and watching.

Conclusion

I'm on board British Airways Club Europe for the short hop from Frankfurt to London Heathrow this week, a flight that may be routine, but still reveals plenty about BA’s short-haul business class offering.

In this video, I cover the experience from boarding to landing, including the Club Europe cabin, seat setup, catering, and service. It’s a familiar product — often debated — yet one that continues to deliver consistency and reliability when executed well.

Club Europe isn’t about reinvention, but when the pricing makes sense or an Avios redemption lines up, it remains a solid and comfortable way to travel around Europe.
