Hello everyone! Welcome to my flight report from Munich Germany to Taiwan back in March 2026 again with Cathay Pacific Airways. After 4 months, I had another trip to Asia.

On the day of flight, I arrived at the airport at 9:35am with Uber due to the issue with the S-Bahn train. The check-in counters are located in concourse B and our flight would depart from the gate in concourse C. In less than 10 minutes, I finished checking my luggage. 48 hours prior to the flight, I had the online check-in and stored the boarding pass in my apple wallet.

The new Terminal 1 pier which will be opened on 21st April. This is now connecting the concourse B.

When I reached the concourse C, there were so many people and we were directed by a staff upstair to concourse D. The process there was pretty smooth and I was through in just a few minutes.

Today we would be departing from gate C04.

My plane to Hong Kong. Airbus 350-900XWB, B-LQG was delivered to Cathay Pacific Airways on July 2023.

The paper boarding pass I received at the check-in counter.

At 11:16am, there was an official announcement that boarding would begin shortly and group 0 could be boarded anytime. I was in Group 5 of the boarding sequence, so I took the time to a nearby toilet.

Once I came back, it was already my time to board the plane.

My seat 63A. It is located in the rear section of the economy class. I selected this seat mostly because the view won't be blocked by the wing, especially for day time flight.

View out of my seat.

Back of the economy seat. Welcome screen showing the seat number and the destination. Coat hook was available on the left side.

Pillow and blanket were placed neatly on my seat.

The folded tray table and the small tablet and cup holder. It was kind of funny that the small tablet holder needed to be released first in order to have the access to the USB ports below the monitor.

At 11:44am, paper menu was given to passengers. 5 minutes later, there was an announcement that we were expecting slight delay due to the ATC clearance, the flight time would be 11 hours and 13 minutes. There were 3 choices for lunch and 2 choices for the breakfast. 2 minutes later boarding was completed and two Japanese ladies were sitting next to me.

At 11:59am, safety demonstration video was played.

2 minutes later, pushback was commenced. The tug pushed us all the way back to the end of the terminal 1 pier.

Even though I selected a seat behind the wing for a better view, I was unable to see the landscape below due to the clouds underneath.

Conclusion

Very solid experience with Cathay Pacific Airways. This is my second time taking the same flight, having the direct flight between two cities is essential for me. Flights for Cathay departing from Europe are always at noon and this is a hard time for me as every time I experience serious jetlag.
