Review of Vietnam Airlines flight from Yangon to Ho Chi Minh City in Economy

Last November I went to Myanmar for a conference and I was travelling on Vietnam Airlines (VN) flight. VN doesn't operate daily flight to Yangon. It has 3 flights per week from Ho Chi Minh City and 5 flights per week from Hanoi.
At first, I thought the flight wasn't full because VN doesn't operate daily flight but in fact, the flight was 100% full, even in business class. I lost hope getting upgrade (as I have Platinum membership of VN). Most of the passengers, as I guess, are connecting ones from Europe or North East Asia with a transit in Ho Chi Minh City.
In this flight, I flew from Yangon back to Ho Chi Minh City and the flight was full also. No empty seat left.
It took me more than 1 hour from the hotel in downtown Yangon to the airport as the traffic jam was really bad in the city. Yangon Airport is new but small. Everything seemed to be very organized.

I went to the Sky Priority check-in counter of Vietnam Airlines. Everything was very quick and the staff were friendly. They communicated in English very well.

After the immigration process, I went to the souvernir shop to buy some gifts for friends and family. There were few shops and quite boring.
Although I travelled on economy class but I had Platinum membership of VN so I was invited to Royal Jade Lounge which was very small, no view of the tarmac. The food was pretty boring and there were not many choices.

The flight started on time. The flight was 100% full. It was 1:50 hrs flight and the catering was quite good for a regional flight like this.
