hi again!
Selamat siang again from this sunny capital city. Was scrolling through my Drive files, then I found these photos from my return flight to Jakarta. I was that thankful as my phone data were wiped months ago and I wouldn't have been able to write this report without any proper documentations. I paid Rp1,060,000 ($73.58) for this flight through my regular OTA.
to and at the airport
The easiest way to KLIA from my place was by railbased vehicle. I stayed at Bukit Bintang area and I chose to use monorail whose station was located right in front of my hostel. The ticket was RM2.5 ($0.61) for a trip from BB to KL Sentral which was connected to a shopping mall. It passed 5 stations and the trip went smooth.

There were not many passengers inside, so it was quiet and clean. There hadn't been official announcement to wear mask in public yet at that time.
This is to show you how the situation at KL Sentral station looked like. Missing it personally. Fun fact, a passenger suddenly asked me the way to the mall without knowing I was foreigner. Sometimes people were confused between Indonesian and Malaysian similar face.
When I arrived at KLIA, I took the bus to depart me to the city center and I had to pay RM12 ($2.91). I was curious with the airport train named KLIA Ekspres which costed me RM55 ($13.35) and I had a try. I like the seat, but it was a bit tight if there was another passenger right in front of me causing my knees meet theirs.
The big FIDS at KLIA 1 showed the passengers informations for their flights. As we can see, there were several codeshare flights, such as EK to Kuching and BA to Jakarta.
This was how KLIA architecture looked like with its iconic ATC tower. It was clean, neat, yet empty. Probably KLIA 2 was more crowded?
Too bad, I forgot to request window seat. Sitting in the middle of 2 men for 2 hours wasn't a good idea, though.
on the plane
As it was my return flight to Jakarta, there were a lot of Indonesian passengers on the flight. We didn't know each other before, but as we held the same passport, we became close naturally by having some chitchats. There was a laptop left on baggage checking desk and we helped to find the owner who was Indonesian as well for sure. That was what nationality meant I guess for me. Boarding time was yet to come and we were called to enter the aircraft by our zones. Same way to board by KLM on my previous flight. See, this was a codeshare flight with Firefly too.
And this was the view during boarding featuring 9M-MXB loading their meals. Hot yet nice weather to fly on that day.
I took no pictures of the entire cabin, legroom, or even lavatory during this flight due to my limited moves. But I try to show you a bit, including this photo when the FA distributed our meals today. First time for me to see MH's Indian FA as they were dominated by Malays. The cabin was clean and I found the IFE screen not responsive enough when touched, so I used the cabled remote control instead. Reminds me of GA's.
Two choices for us: chicken or fish. I opted for the seafood one and this was what came onto my table, fried fish fillet with sweet and sour sauce, steamed rice, and stir-fried bean with broccoli. Personally I like the fish, but too bad, the veggies were a bit plain for me as a salt lover. Here came a plain bun with Lurpak butter and mineral water in small cup. Their OJ tasted good and I ate the fruit platter placed beside the main course before I took this photo, no wonder it was empty haha. It was the one on this report's cover photo. Their dining equipments were solid enough compared with others'. They won't get broken in the middle of our dining session, so I cleaned them and brought them home as souvenirs.
There were a safety card, a Going Places inflight magazine, and this Temptations catalogue inside the seat pocket. I was interested in their pins, travel bag, and aircraft model - but unfortunately I saw no sales on board.
The flight went smooth eventhough I felt I needed more spaces without these 2 adults "guarding" me LOL. But to be honest they were nice to me. I spent this flight by watching Swedish documentary on IFE until we started descending to approach CGK. Nice landing by the captain anyway.
This was last international flight so far after Covid came and canceled all flights, including my flight to SIN scheduled on March 28 by QZ. MH at GA homebase didn't look bad, tho.
After deplaning, this was the most hated part of this trip: walking far far away to arrival hall. But it seems that I walked more far on domestic arrival.
