One more report to finish this previous trip won't hurt anyone tho… :)
So I was in Bangkok for 8 days, 4 days for the hackathon competition at KMITL, 1 day rest, and 3 days for the stamp exhibition at GPO. On the 9th days, I went to Cambodia through the tough land border - glad I was survived. Was about to try the flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap, but the price was considered high for my budget. Therefore, this would my flight back home directly from Phnom Penh.
Phnom Penh was really hot and sunny. I rode a tuktuk to the airport, which was only 30 minutes from downtown.
The ride costed me 16,500 riel or approximately USD 4, the exact amount of my Riel notes remaining before I left the country. Take note that you could not exchange Riel outside of Cambodia.
The departure hall was pretty compact with no difference between domestic & international departure, as the domestic one only serves Siem Reap as the country's second largest city. I can say it was efficient enough, as right after checking in, the immigration was upstairs using the escalator shown on the right side.
Again, I didn't remember to opt for window seat. So, I got middle seat instead, which was the worst one for me according to my previous flight on MH in 2020. I tried to ask the one sitting next to the window to change the seat, but they politely refused.
The good thing: there was a Hard Rock store at the waiting hall. Time for window shopping to kill time.
This was how my trip went - entered and went out from all different ports. What an experience.
Bangkok Airways bound for BKK and Eva Air bound for TPE were seen at the terminal.
Here was my ride for that day, Airbus A320 as QZ's signature fleet. Parked next to the country's flag carrier, Cambodia Angkor Air.
The cabin was pretty packed. I saw lot of Indonesian workers on this flight. No wonder, since nowadays lot of Indonesians are working as migrant workers in Cambodia - sometimes ilegally and becoming scam victim.
Nothing much to discover inside the seat pocket, besides a catalogue for inflight shopping and …
… food. I was about to order their signature Santan meal, but too bad, all were sold out. I chose to eat at home instead.
The flight was faster than expected. By 6:58pm, I had boarded into the bus home, considering the fact that I should've landed by 6:45pm instead. Good job QZ.
