Hello everyone,
happy to see you again for a new trip.
This time, destination Taiwan and the island of Okinawa.
The opportunity to try new companies, and new aircraft.
The routing will be as follows:

I had left you while I had only 1h20 left before the departure of my flight for TPE.
I have to take the shuttle bus to ICN Terminal 1.

The road is quite long, there are 11km between the two terminals.
And, we have to go around the airport along the runways.

After 15 minutes of bus, I arrive at terminal 1.

We quickly understand who is the master of the place.
Terminal much more oriented Star Alliance (and One World).

And, soon after, the counters for Eva Air.

I will quickly arrive at the counters for Eva Air, which are empty.
And, for good reason, there is only 1 hour left before the departure of our flight.

I will still be able to check in my luggage (phew!).
I’ll get through security quickly, find myself AirSide.
Already postponed during my flight to HKG, ICN Terminal 1 is very nice, with a pretty impressive shopping mall.

I will go to the door 30 minutes before the theoretical departure.
And, surprise, no plane in door yet, but no delay announced either.
Our plane will arrive soon enough.





Boarding will begin 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Despite the present world, boarding will be very fluid.

As soon as the "fasten your seatbelt" signal goes off, I’ll raise the IFE.
It is of good size, good resolution, and quite responsive.

The programs are very Asian culture oriented, despite some Hollywood works and some cartoons.

The modeling of our plane will be faithful on the geovision.

Despite the fact that I have not ordered a menu, a vegetarian tray will be brought to me at my request.
Nice attention from Eva:

The starter will be a well seasoned salad.
The dish will consist of grilled vegetables with coconut sauce. Very good!
The dessert will be a matcha cake. Not at the top!

Very good catering for such a short flight.
Far from our European standards!
I will try the wifi service on board.
Nevertheless, it will pay even for messages.

1 hour before our arrival, a follow-up message of prevention of Taiwanese customs will be broadcast.
It reminds me of the Australian customs message.
But, in much longer and more detailed.
All videos will take almost 10 min.







The approach will begin 30 minutes before the scheduled landing time.
I will follow the approach using geovision:

Then, short drive to our arrival gate.
Deboarding will be done quickly, with respect for priorities.
The curtain of separation of classes will be put back in place to allow pax in J to disembark in 1st.

Goodbye to our crew, very professional and very friendly.
The passage of the customs will be quite long.
We will have to complete an application "to enter the territory" without a visa.

Then, quick exit, direction the buses.
The atmosphere of the airport is very quiet in this late hour, and the terminal signage seems quite old too.
I will reach the center of Taipei in 1h for 132 NT$ (about 4€).

Thanks for sharing this FR. They definitely picked a Y seat upholstery to hide stains^^ I’m surprised they only offer one option on this route given the flight length, but might be a compromise they make by catering this sector from TPE allowing for the fast turnaround in ICN. The quantity of the tray is correct, only appears to be missing bread/roll, which is forgivable.
