Today, we're headed over to Montevideo in Uruguay with Aerolineas Argentinas. This is the colourful La Boca neighbourhood in Buenos Aires.
Our flight was departing Jorge Newberry Airport at 09:35 and we arrived a little before 07:00am via Uber.
The airport is rather small, think London City but ever so slightly bigger in size. Aerolineas Argentinas are the majority operator from here.
Each check-in 'zone' is grouped by destination so instead of heading to a particular desk, you go to the zone of the destination you're flying to.
No lounge for us today at Jorge Newberry as it's pre-departure. So we settled for this very expensive sandwich!
Not to mention a traditional Alfajor stuffed with dulce de leche.
We were expecting to depart from Gate 15 today so headed down there and sat it out.
We then heard our names on the PA and were asked to go to the desk to speak with the agents conducting the boarding process. We were told it was nothing to worry about and they were simply moving us from seats 4A/B to 30E/F. They also moved our boarding group forward to Zone 1 but I realised we got this anyway owing to our SkyPriority status.
All of the priority boarding when we were bundled onto a bus and driven out to the aircraft.
Today's aircraft is this Boeing 737 MAX 8 in Aerolineas' striking blue livery.
Boarding through the front door, we got a great look at their Business Class, often marketed as "Club Economy". The seats looked great.
For us though, we were right at the back on Row 30 and initial impressions are great. Leather seats and striking blue headrests.
The central 'E' seat was also free so the husband moved to the aisle into 30D and I remained in 30F by the window.
There was also USB-A charging facilities at each seat.
The cabin is bright and airy, and feels brand new (the aircraft in question was only delivered to Aerolineas in December 2025).
The legroom is standard.
As we pushed back from ARG-01 (Tango 001) which belongs to the President of Argentina.
We then taxied out to get airborne towards Montevideo.
The views on the climb out were great, you underestimate just how big Buenos Aires really is.
It's such a densely populated city.
And it wasn't long before we banked out over the Rio de la Plata (River Plate).
The seats are very comfortable and the headrests are incredibly supportive. Also, the best perk about being on the last row is reclining without fear of interrupting someone's personal space behind!
The toilets were small but clean. There are 2 located at the rear of this 737 MAX 8 and one located at the front for the use of Business Class passengers.
There was soap and hot running water - so no complaints!
The flight time today was just 41 minutes from pushback to on stand, with 26 minutes of that being in the air.
Before we even knew it, the seatbelt sign was back on and we were descending rapidly into Montevideo's Carrasco/General Cesáreo L. Berisso International Airport.
The descent was quick and we were on the ground. What a super quick and efficient flight.
As we taxied onto stand, I also saw Air Europa's EC-NBX Boeing 787 Dreamliner that I filmed my business class review on from BCN-MAD last year.

Cool report and well-done video as always! Nice to see a review on the AR 7M8 as there haven't been many lately. The cabin looks very nice and modern, though maybe missing USB-C for such a new aircraft. Though it's nice to at least have USB-A charging. Looks like the streaming IFE was available from the sticker in the seatback, but for such a short flight I imagine very few people use it.
