SYD - SIN SQ Y / B777-300ER: HERE
It's time to head home after almost two weeks in Sydney. It was a chill two weeks of being chill and hipster. I may head back again next year just to hang out for a week or two.

Check-in and immigration were pretty much a breeze although I was stopped for some extra check. I didn't find it much of a bother though and I was really early anyway. No views outside this trip because I was unable to secure a window seat.
Kingsford is currently under renovation and thus all the hoarding.

Conclusion

Singapore Airlines never fails to impress. The updated Economy cabin is a welcome upgrade to make even seasoned travellers like myself excited. The food is of high standard and the seat was comfortable. Unfortunately, the person sitting beside me kept rolling over to my side, making it slightly uncomfortable. Still, it was good flight and I have no complaints whatsoever.

  • Thank you for this report,

Nice flight! Ice cream is a pretty good bonus and more than all,

I dream other airlines would come back to 3-3-3 cabin like SQ :( :( :(

    See you!

  • 3-3-3 should be the way to go! But then someone would have to answer to the shareholders haha! Thanks for viewing my report!

  • Thank you for sharing this FR with us!

The new cabin looks great, the 3-3-3 configuration makes it look spacious unlike the 10-abreast layout in other airlines.

IFE looks fantastic from your pictures, very impressive with a great resolution. The touchscreen controller is a big plus.

Seat pitch seems to be decent, catering doesn't look bad either.

Overall a great flight with SQ, a fantastic hard-product combined with a great soft-product.

    See you!

  • Thanks for viewing my report. It was indeed a great flight. I hope more airlines can learn from SQ.

  • SQ never fails to amaze, thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for stopping by!

  • Great report! I'll be heading to Sydney in 2 months, I can't wait! Though it won't be chill I'm going to try to squeeze in a lot of Australia and New Zealand into 3 weeks--I'll probably need a vacation from my vacation.

SQ already had a top notch Economy product, now with the new cabins, it's probably the best Y class period. SQ is a leader is all classes of service--and now they have Premium Economy too. These new cabins loon really nice and modern. They look spacious as well and the seats look wide. With so many carriers going down the path of 3-4-3 in Economy, it's nice to know there are still humane 3-3-3 options out there. I can't imagine a premium carrier like SQ or CX would ever go to 3-4-3 in a 777, but I guess you never know.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Enjoy your trip! I do believe its getting warm down under.

I do believe that this new product is only on the 777-300ERs which is pretty sad considering how good it is. I do hope they reconsider and implement it onto their other planes too!
