Greetings!
This report is the second part of my trip from PEK to BKK via HKG.
You can find the first part here : http://flight-report.com/en/report/17253/Cathay-Pacific-CX347-Beijing-PEK-Hong-Kong-HKG
After a 3-hour delay at PEK, I arrived at HKG at 4PM, I was booked on CX701 to BKK which will depart at 3:55 so that means I have no chance to make it on time.
CX staffs were waiting outside the jetbridge, ready to issue new BP for passengers missed their connection.
I was quickly given a new BP by the ground staff at the jetbridge, I thought I would be booked to CX703 which departs at 7PM on that day, only found out I was booked to CX617 which will depart at 9:25PM.
I asked if it's possible to change to CX703 but they said it's full. Later I found out that CX703 was delayed on that day due to issues with aircraft rotation, and it actually departed at about 10PM on that day.
I wasn't in a hurry and this 5-hour connection time gave me a perfect chance to experience the new Pier Business Class lounge.
The bad thing was I forgot to take photos of the lounge. Sad.
All the new BP for Y has a HKD$70 food voucher which was good.
When the ground staff gave me my BP, she turned back and asked (I believe a supervisor maybe?) why there was no food voucher for my BP.
"Business Class la"
Yeah, I'm good without the food voucher.
So with the new BP in hand, I quickly made my way to the security check, which was done within 5 minutes, and then I went straight to The Pier.
Sorry I didn't take any photos of the lounge, but this lounge is really really big with plenty of seats, until now I've been there 3 times since it's re-opened, and I never fell crowed in the lounge. Unlike the Cabin and the Bridge, where you fell the lounge is busy and crowed, I always fell relaxed in the new Pier.
The food offering in the lounge was very good, I really liked it.
After that I went to the Wing and the Qantas Hong Kong Lounge as well.

The Qantas Hong Kong Lounge.
I really liked the dim sum they served during dinner time, I had some scallop dumpling, which was very nice.
I went to the boarding gate 5 minutes before the boarding time, the queue was forming up for Y, and amazingly, no one was waiting in the priority line, which was very rare.
So I found a seat near the gate, and wait for the boarding to start.
Boarding started and I was among the first to board the aircraft.
J cabin on that day was about 70% full.
We pushed back on time and the crew quickly started the meal service when we reached 10000ft.
The crews on this flight were really friendlly, and every time I was addressed by Surname.

The entree.

For the main, I chose the chicken curry. It tasted okay, I wasn't really hungry at that time so I didn't finish it.

Ice-cream and hot-chocolate to finish. (That's the first time I try the royal milk tea flavour, it tasted a little bit weird.)
For the rest of the flight, I reclined my seat and watched a few TV shows. The long-haul business class seat is really comfortable.

Interesting subtitles.

Descending into Bangkok.
The flight arrived on time. It was a very good flight experience with CX.
