Welcome to the trip-report reviewing China Eastern's Long Haul economy Product on board their Boeing 777-300ER.

At the time of making this trip-report, China Eastern has 20 B777-300ER. Apart from the B777-300ER, the long haul fleet is consisted of the A330-200 and the A330-300. The airline also has a further order of B787-9 and A350-900. The airline has a fierce competition with its rivals Hainan Airlines, China Southern , Sichuan Ailrines, Air China and recently Juneyao Airlines. Hainan Airlines has always been in a lead in the long haul sector with the most amount of international routes. They use the B787-8 ,B787-9,A330-300,A330-200 and the A350 to their advantage. China Southern focuses on the south east asian routes instead of the long haul routes. Sichuan Airlines recently acquired the A350 and they launched long haul operations the us and Juneyao is also a recent competitor with the newly acquired B787. Air China has taken a different approach to the widebody aircrafts. They deploy the aircrafts on high frequency short haul routes either within China or Hong Kong,Singapore,Taiwan ,India etc…(They do also use the fleet for long haul operations). These airlines do give a fierce competition towards China Eastern which has a huge domestic coverage.
Coming back to China Eastern ,this aircraft is equiped with 6 first class seat,52 Business class and 258 economy class seats.

The meal was served just a few hours after take-off . My meal was a vegetarian meal and tasted ok. It could have been better and it could have been worse.
Somewhere over Canada
Hours before landing
We landed softly while most of the flight was half asleep.
I was completely jet lagged to the point that i forgot take any pictures.
It was only at the baggage claim that i realised that i forget to take pictures.
