I travelled with Thai on the same route in Economy last year. Check out my review with the link

I was going back to India after a wonderfull 2 years living in Shanghai, China.
My route
Thai Airways B777-300ER Business Class Shanghai Pudong to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi ( Coming Soon)
Thai Airways B777-300 Business Class Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Chennai (You are Here)
I arrived from Shanghai and i quickly cleared security and entered the Royal orchid lounge.
The lounge had a good selection of drinks and food and comfy seats. The only problem for me was it was too crowded and congested. The lounge offers wi-fi and even Showers. I unfortunately did not have a lot of time in the lounge because my incoming flight was delayed.
The departure board for tonight
A statue that is located right after immigration
I left the lounge and i went to the gate
Bangkok has this system where you can check your ticket and then have a seat in the waiting area. I personally like this idea because it would take less time to board the aircraft. The only disadvantage is that there is sometimes not enough seats.
Our aircraft for tonight
Boarding soon began with business class passengers being called first to board.
Will not be taking the economy class corridor today : )
Our seat for tonight.
The aircraft is equipped with 34 business class seats and 330 Economy class seats.
The seat is angle lie seat not Lie flat and has a recline of 163 degrees.
The tray table comes out from the sides
Soon they served piping hot towels
The seat had a headphone which was not noice cancelling and they were broken. I asked for a replacement and that one was also broken and when the third headphone came, the flight attendants waited for me to test the headphones it said to be working but later on in the flight ,that also stopped working. The flight attendants were so dissapointed.
The boarding pass in Thai Airways unique on its own way. Most of the boarding passes of star alliance members are not boring (Except for ANA, I dont like ANA boarding passes)
The blanket and that smelled fresh
The seat controls
The old remote
The reading light
Divider for privacy
Universal power outlet
They came around with pre departure drinks . I chose apple juice with which i got the signature Thai Airways flower.
Soon it was time for departure
The cabin lights were switched off
Soon we took off and the sparkling Bangkok was visible
The menu
Few minutes after departure the food service began. I am a vegetarian so i took the special vegetarian option. I was surprised It was served in a tray, that is very unusual in Business class. The food was, in my opinion , not that good. Thai Airways needs a lot of improvements in the special meals.
They also distributed some drinks. I chose coke
The contents of the literature section
I watched some movies, got some sleep and then landed in Chennai International Airport. Our neighbours would be an AirAsia A320 from Kuala Lumpur and a Jet Airways A330-300 from Paris Charles de Gualle
The arrival board is packed with international flights at night.
This is the end of a 2 year long Journey from China and a start of a new Chapter.

Hi Blazingburst2016, thanks for sharing this review of TG's old 773 Business class. It is a decent cabin experience for a 3 hour short/medium-haul flight, but you're right that it would be unpleasant for long-haul. Luckily, I think TG only run these 773s on regional routes. TG's main problem is their inconsistent hard products, especially in Business. Thanks for sharing!
Man, why not try SQ lounge right opposite to Gate D7? Or Eva Air Lounge @ BKK? The Food, comfort ARE MUCH BETTER than what you had onboard the planes:))
