So, I had arrived in Frankfurt from Rio de Janeiro at 14.15. Quickly I passed through the security and passport checks and I found myself on Concourse A. The gate for my flight was A16 so it was one of the first. Originally it was A22, but later It was changed.

I sat for tome minutes and I used the airport’s Wi-Fi to answer some messages on my iPhone. A few minutes later the boarding was announced. First passengers flying on Business class, then the rest according to the row number.
A quick view of the Boeing 747 I just deplaned some minutes before.

On the same row I found some passengers I shared with them the previous flights. I couldn’t see properly the aircraft because of gate’s location.

My seat was one of the last ones, 29A. The flight was almost full. Half an hour before takeoff the crew introduced themselves. The FAs were ‘very adult’ women and a young boy. They were all very nice and polite.

When boarding was finished, we headed to the runway and after some minutes we took off.

At 16.30 we took off heading south. We had 4 planes ahead of us waiting for departure.

A few minutes later they served the meal. I was given an apple crumble and a coke. It was tasty but I was a little difficult to eat because it crumbled all over the seat ha-ha.

Some minutes after, I had my first view of the Swiss Alps. I was speechless. I had previously flown over the Andes Mountains, but this was special because I was not just rocks and snow, but small villages as well. Really beautiful. While we were flying over the mountains the FAs came to collect the trash.

Later we flew over Lugano, which I visited a couple of days later.

And we were just in the north of Italy. Then the urban areas started popping up and I had views of Milan. I even could see the Duomo.

After some turning, we landed in Linate at 17.20

We went directly to the terminal building and deplaned on the jet bridge. From there you could see the iconic sign of Emporio Armani which welcomes everyone who arrives in Linate.

As it was a Schengen flight, I didn’t pass through any check point. I went to the lower floor and collected my luggage. Then headed by but to Central Milan.

I´ll leave a BONUS with some pictures of my first days in Italy (Milan, Venice and Lugano, Switzerland)
