Review of Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore in Economy

Initially scheduled plane, 9M-MME.

Boarding. The flight was again 100 percent full!! Not a single empty seat in all classes!! Crew were busy fitting everyone's carry-ons into the overhead bins and boy, did they worked hard. This time round, there were inflight mags in the seat pockets.

Taxied to the runway for takeoff. However just before reaching the runway, the captain came on and informed that there was a technical problem and we would need to return to the terminal. A change of aircraft would be arranged. Of course, groans were heard as we taxied back to the gate. We disembarked and were led back to the holding gate while they prepare another aircraft for us at the adjacent gate.

This eventually led to a delay of 1.5hrs. However kudos to MH for arranging for a spare aircraft so soon. Guess it helps that we were at its homebase. Some pax with connections at SIN were also reaccomodated on MH flight to their final destinations.

The whole pre-flight procedures again and we were off. The crew really worked very hard for this short sector, attending to pax's request for water while on the ground, resitting pax due to families being separated on the full flight, finding space for the tons of carry-ons etc. They really deserved a compliment.
Takeoff again.

As usual, peanuts and drinks were served. Had a gj. The crew even offered a second round of drinks on the short flight!

Landing in Changi Rwy20C, 1.5hrs behind schedule. The landing was hard!
