Hello again and welcome to another FR. Today we'll be flying from Cali to Tumaco, a flight which was made on the 26th of july.
I arrived at the airport about an hour and a half before the flight, so I had more than enough time. While making my check in, the staff told me the flight will be delayed for one and a half hour because of operational reasons.
I went to sit at the second floor of the terminal, which was empty and I didn't have to wear my mask at all as the building on the domestic terminal is open.

Departures during the afternoon are these

After the security check, I took a walk by the terminal, which have some bars and places to charge your phone.

And awaiting in our room.

Hopefully we were called to board the plane. It was resting alone at the very end of the terminal.

A closer look to it

Let's get inside

I was seated at the very last row of the plane, which wasn't that bad as I will be one of the first to disembark in Tumaco. The legroom was standard.

Just a stupid detail. This plane was flying in the french Polynesia just before being a member of Satena

Soon it was time to take off. So safety demonstration was made and engines started. Time to go to the runway, as a storm was getting closer.

Bye bye Cali! See you in a few weeks.
We took off to the north just before making a 180 turn heading to Tumaco. Luckily, we avoided the storm.

I felt asleep for a few minutes. The cabin looked quite.

Again, no service. Here there are some pictures while cruising.

And soon we started our descent towards Tumaco.

Salahonda down there

On approach over the bay of Tumaco

And on finals:

And landing after 55 minutes in the air. Good to be here again. A short taxi to our stand, where the baggages which were flying to Bogotá on the very last flight of the day were waiting to board.

One last look to our plane.

I picked my bag and headed outside, where they were waiting for me to celebrate my birthday in a restaurant next to the sea. We went there in a short walk.
And to end, a curious alert message about malaria, which is quite common in this part of the country, and much more dangerous than COVID. Thank you very much for your time and see you soon with some interesting reports!

Feliz cumpleaños atrasado!!
Hermosas vistas. Lástima que es tropical. El calor me hace pésimo.
La malaria produce fatiga, debilidad y dolores? Pfff!! Creo que si me diera malaria, no me daría ni cuenta! Despierto así todos los días!! jajaj
Gracias por compartir!
Cool report! I always enjoy exotic reviews on lesser known airlines. SATENA seem to offer a good value and experience.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Kévin. In my opinion SATENA is one of the most valuable airlines to fly inside Colombia, unless they delay your flight for 4h or more. I've never had that experience luckily haha. Their flights are also used by the army to move their officials inside Colombia.
