The following report is a continuation from my last report

http://flight-report.com/en/report-6316.html

I have always been highly impressed by the modern and GENUINE service-focused airports throughout Asia. But it's very rare when I find an airline topping an airport when it comes to facilities!

The end of any great journey can be bittersweet - and mine was no different. After the ultra-luxe experience I enjoyed over the last 17 days traveling throughout Asia, I only craved more - but alas, I had to head home. However, I didn't know what was in store for me once I arrived at THAI's Royal Silk departures queue at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (in St. Regis Bangkok's Mercedes-Benz S550…..more on that glorious experience in an upcoming post at www.andiamo.tv/blog).

Typically when flying in a premium class of service, the experience is faster and more personalized than Economy. To my surprise, Thai takes it a step further - once you arrive at the counter you are asked to have a seat and the representative proceeds to checking you and your bags in. For some, I'm sure that this is no big deal - but it's a small touch like having a seat while you're checking in which makes the premium class experience even more enjoyable and memorable. After checking in, I had a VERY sh ort trip to security (all of 2 minutes) and then immigration (1 minute from clearing security) before heading immediately heading down the escalators to THAI's Royal Silk Lounge. From the time I walked into the airport to the time I got to the lounge, I spent a total of 8 minutes going through the entire airport process - and this is for an international flight! Typically I spend 15-20 minutes just going through security lines at LAX, so for THAI to have such an expedited process in Bangkok is truly remarkable!

THAI's Royal Silk Lounges are indeed a welcome oasis where you can grab a quick bite before your flight, check emails or just luxuriate in comfortable environs.

Once onboard, we made a speedy departure from Bangkok…..

And within a short time, THAI's legendary inflight service was underway. Traditional Western breakfast items were available (eggs, pancakes, sausages, etc.), but I chose to enjoy an Asian specialty and it was quite tasty!

Raspberry Chocolate Cream Cake Opera Cake Before I go further, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the Red Curry entree was EPIC! The flavors were bold and the seasonings were on-point. I honestly thought that I was enjoying a wonderful Red Curry entree from The Paresa Resort in Phuket! If you happen to see the the Pork Tenderloin in Red Curry on your menu, ORDER IT! :-) After all of the great dining, it was time for me to get some rest and the wonderful THAI Airways Royal Silk lie-flat suites once again were a joy for my flight home

With all that I experienced on my flight to Bangkok, suffice it say, I certainly enjoyed my return flight home. A flight report on that journey will be posted here on March 14. Thank you very much for your comment! I greatly appreciate it!

I'm quite a stickler when it comes to premium international inflight service. This is why you'll never see me post anything that is less than an 8 in the ratings. I figure, if it's a bad experience, then why report on it? It just becomes a complete rant and a total waste of time for me. I only choose to experience the best when I travel so that I can truly accentuate the positive from those experiences :-)

Wow 10s across the board! It must've been an awesome flight! The only critique I have is that the some of the dishes aren't presented very well with sauce stains on the china (which looks a lot like what they use in Y). I see you don't mention the wines in your report, but it looks like you had some from looking at the video. Can you tell us about the wines--good selection, to your liking, regular refills, etc? Thanks for sharing yet another great report with beautiful pictures!
