Review of Southwest Airlines flight from San Diego to Salt Lake City in Economy

A visual of my entire domestic itinerary from SFO to SLC via SAN on Southwest Airlines which would cover a total distance of 1,070mi/1,722km. This trip report will cover the second leg journey between SAN to SLC.

Welcome everyone to another trip report!
Today I start off my journey here in San Diego international airport where I have a very short layover before my onward flight to Salt Lake City. If you want to know the back story for this trip you can check my previous trip report here. Fun fact, I took this exact routing only 6 months prior though on Alaska (operated by SkyWest) with both flights being operated by E175s. This would be a great opportunity to compare both airline's products and offerings on the exact route. Let's get into the report ;).
My flight is SW 3975 with a schedule departure time of 12:30p departing out gate 12.

A look at the gate area which filled up with a lot of people just before boarding. The gate agent did make an announcement that today's flight to Salt Lake City will be going out completely full.

Boarding began behind schedule due to late arrival of aircraft. My position for boarding was B32.

A perfect wing and engine view 😉.

Legroom is quite nice, these seats offer 31" of pitch.

Boarding is complete and as mentioned before today's flight load up to SLC is full at 100%.

We made a 270° left hand turn turning northeast towards Salt Lake City.

I was treated to some spectacular views of SAN airport as we flew right by.

As well as Coronado Naval Air Station.

The bad weather we had earlier was just starting to move out of the area as we departed.

About 25 minutes into flight we were approaching the city of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The tray table was standard size and extendable.

Right after takeoff the FA's began taking their drink orders on clip boards and shortly after that they handed out snack mix bags to everyone. 

Soon after the FA's began handing everyone's drinks order, I went for their unique drink, a hot chocolate.

I decided to explore SW's IFE which is honestly for me one of the best in the skies in terms or variety of content and features.

My go to though was the interactive map 😅.

In the distance we were racing a Breeze Airways A220 that was traveling from Santa Ana (SNA) to Provo (PVU). I had a chance to fly with them 6 months prior between Provo and San Francisco. 

The flight went on very uneventful and before I knew it the captain made an announcement that we would be beginning our initial descent into Salt Lake City.

We'd be landing into runway 35.

We arrived at the gate 20 minutes behind schedule.
