Good Morning!
Today let's look back at SQ105 from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
The aircraft for this short hop will be 9V-SHU, a 3 year old A350-900. I specifically booked that flight, because why would I settle for a 737 if a A350 was available?
Way to the Airport
I had packed my suitcase and was ready to leave the hotel. I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton KLCC which I can highly recommend.

I then took the Monorail to KL Sentral Station, from where the KLIA Ekspres train leaves.

The train ride takes roughly 30 minutes between Kuala Lumpur's main train station and the airport. It stops at T1 first and then continues onward to T2.
KLIA
I arrived at T1 at 7:30am and checked in. Only check in was unavailable and I had to use the counters.

After checking in, I made myself to the way to the boarding pass check and the passport control.

There is also a brief security check but the actual check happens at the gate.
After the short check, I was released into the departure hall any made my way towards the satellite terminal.

The train was still being renovated at the time of the flight, so were bussed.

We then arrived at the satellite terminal.

I quickly checked out the small garden before heading to the SkySuite Lounge.

SkySuite Lounge
As I had no status with star alliance back then, I used my PriorityPass to access the lounge. Checkin was fast and the staff was very friendly.

I settled in a cozy area with great tarmac views.
The food selection was awesome and consisted of various warm dishes, breakfast, cakes and lots of fresh fruit.
Lots of softdrinks and coffees were also available.
For me, that is one of the best priority pass lounges.
Boarding
As previously mentioned, there was the main security check before the gate area.

I also had a first look at our aircraft for today.

Boarding started on time.

Flight
The cabin had blue and grey seats.

During taxi, I was able to do some planespotting as the taxi route was quite long and took us 20 minutes.

We then took off with a delay of 12 minutes.

Meal service consisted of apple juice in a, for my taste, weird container.

But it tasted well.
And after only 42 minutes of flying time, we touched down in Singapore at 11:29.

Arrival
It took as a 9 minute taxi to our stand, where we arrived at 11:38, with a short 3min delay.
After deboarding, there was ANOTHER security check, bringing the total count to three. It was quite annoyed about that.

I passed through immigration, collected my luggage and went for a short glimpse of the jewel fountain.

From there it was a long walk to the metro and off to the city!
