Here is my first flight report. It will not be a lots reading, I let the pictures tell most of story. Japan airlines counters are located in Narita airport terminal 2. There is a separate Fisst class check-in counters L, it is an semi-open space in design, there are sofa seating area opposite to the counters. I was greet by a staff satnding at the entrance and guided me to the counter. The check-in service was smooth and effcient, done in less than 5 minutes.

On my way to OneWorld fast track, I happened to noticed a JL first class exclusive fast track, I was not told there is such service, anyway, I walked in. I was the only passenger and it took me about 10 minutes to go through both security and immigration.

The lounges are right next to the exit of immigration. There are two first class lounges located on two different floors with its own entrance. The lower one has full service including shower & massage facilities, an Sushi bar with a restaurant area, and business section with printers, cable-free phone chargers, and desktop computers.

Foods selection was good, such bar with two chefs on site preparing fresh sushi was a brilliant idea. A sake bar was next to it as well. For shower and massage service, reservation needed to be made upon arrival to the lounge, a reservation card was given for appointed time. I ordered scalp massage, it was good and lasted only 10 minutes. I also took a shower before I left the lounge.

The boarding gate was about 10 minutes walk from the lounge, Over the gate area, the priority line was full of business class and higher-tier-member passengers. I was asked to be boarding right after those assistance needed passages. I did not wait in line.

Upon on board, pre-departure champagne was offered with a warm scented towel.

Take off was smooth, soon after we reached an altitude, flight attendants started the cocktail and lunch service. One who served me was very professional, she practically explained to me the entire menu in detail, furthermore, she was able to tell what the chef had ideas and how to eat on the every dishes I ordered.

Once I was done with lunch, one of attendants made a bed on my next empty seat. The mattress has two sides to choice, soft side or hard side. The bed was extremely comfortable.

The amenity kit was distributed after lunch, it came with a big size men skin care cream. I love the kit design, it has a hook to hang.

I felt hungry after a good sleep, I ordered a Japanese light meal set, and a western light meal set.

Here are the pictures of lavatory, one thing worth of mention is the toilet seat has butt washing function.

Soon we were approaching the destination, I thought I needed to eat something for breakfast, I ordered the desserts which was highly recommended by the flight attendants.

At the end of the trip, fight attendants present a gift of Japanese handkerchief to every first class passenger.
Landing and taxing were peaceful, although the door used for getting off the plane was in the business class cabin, we four first class passengers were escorted to leave the plane first before anyone. The US immigration is always busy, and there was no fast track service. It took me 30 minutes to clear the immigration, the luggage was ready for me to pick up in luggage area. Going through the custom was simple and fast. I did not take any pictures of O’Hare airport, I totally forgot, I apologize for that.
Thanks for a sharing a window into the world past the little curtains.
I wonder when did JAL stop escorting first class passengers from check-in lounge to the dedicated customs section.
Explaining the menu is the highest level of service that can be given to a guest passenger. The presentation of dishes shows care and attention to details.
I fail to see the reason why the seat memory foam pad is not covered with pima cotton sheets.
Airlines can arrange for speedy processing at customs and immigration with a credentialed escort. It would be interesting to read the reason JAL does not provide escorts in US airports.
Catering looks excellent both in the lounge and on board. Sushi being my favourite food I think I would go crazy at the sushi bar LOL
I loved the sushi bar, the only foods I had there were sushi.
Thank you for sharing this exciting series and welcome to FR.
JL F looks truly impressive and your report confirms that reputation. I have only experienced J with this carrier and based on my limited experience I thought that they were excellent, so F must be really exceptional. I would love to try that cabin in the future.
The lounge experience looks fantastic.
Thanks for this first FR. The first of Japan airlines is really great, and like say Jetsetpanda, that confirms their reputation !
Thanks for this First FR and welcome aboard !
Catering just looks perfect and everything is so well displayed on the plates. The china in itself is beautiful and very delicate.
The seats looks also very comfortable and is surely great to sleep or take a nap. There is a real club and luxury feeling in this cabin.
Thanks for sharing with us and looking forward to future reports.
Thanks for sharing this first reports with us! And on such a great product. JAL F hard product is good, but it seems the great flight attendants really made this a great flight. Very nice photos; don't hesitate to post larger pics.
Thanks for your suggestion, now I know how to upload bigger pictures on my next report.
Thanks for sharing, everything looked really nice!
BTW what was the side on the western light meal set?
I am out of town, I will look it up on the menu when I am back to home.
The menu says the side on sautéed lamb is rape & broccoli with blue cheese vinaigrette, both were very delicious!
