after a few days spent in Singapore, we wanted to relax on the beautiful island of Langkawi and Kuala Lumpour.

Malaysia Airlines was offering attractive prices, despite a high competition with other low-cost airlines, and so we booked with them to also claim avios.

Four of the flights were going to be operated with B737-800 aircrafts so not much variety here unfortunately.
As you can see the cabin was fit with just 160 seats, a rather comfortable configuration.

We arrived from our previous flight just about one hour before the next leg, and luckily we had enough time to go through customs and have a very British pit stop tea break at good old Harrods XD
The airport seemed very clean but not as exciting as SIN - mind you not that many airport compete with it.

The famous thing about Langkawi is of course its beaches but also the approach just over the sea.

The airport is really small but functionnal.
I had the unpleasant surprise to see that my luggage was damaged and some grey tape placed on it, and hope for me not to notice it!

Before telling me to go away. It is really in these instances that you feel lucky to travel in Europe where there are some rules and law to protect the passenger.

Seriously speaking this is not what I would consider as "usual" dammage. But it can be worse : a few years back, when arriving in Seattle after a long haul flight with Delta, one of the wheels of our suitcase was missing (we were away for 3 1/2 weeks) and had 4 suitcases. Without a wheel you can hardly manage to pull it.
We went to see the Delta luggage office just to be told that "they are not liable for wheels and handle as it is part of normal alterations". After a bit of a heated discussion they gave us a replacement suitcase, nowhere equal to what we had but at least it did the job for the holidays.
