Hello Flight-Report Community,
Welcome to my another flight report, in this report I will cover KA974 from HKG to PEK in J.
I thought I would not share this flight report when I took the flight so I did not take too many photos, but in the end I think it would be good to let you know about the catering and service on board.
This report starts from where I left in the last report, CX110 from SYD to HKG in J, you can read it here.
After I left the jet bridge, a ground staff was there waiting for me and she gave me my new boarding pass.
Because we landed 20 minutes late (almost 3:40 when I got my new BP), and my new flight will depart at 4:30, so I made my way to the gate straight away. (Really sad I don't have the chance to visit the Pier this time, maybe next time :D)

Today we will depart from gate 502, this is the first time I went there, and when I arrived at the gate, boarding already started.
I quickly find my seat 10K, window seat in the first row. And because I rushed to the gate, I chose water as PDB.
Ground staff was loading bags to the aircraft.
I was worried that my bag would not make it to the flight, so I looked closely to the whole process, and I didn't see my bag. Well…not surprised…
Then door was closed and we started push back.
After push back, I could see ground staff were there waving to us, it all seems normal, until all of them started to dash to the aircraft.
We stopped there for 40 minutes, I have no idea what was going on because I could not see them under the aircraft, and finally captain came on radio and informed us that we would be going back to gate.
And after another 30 minutes, we were finally on our way. But we stopped again just before entering the runway, and there were no take-off or landing for about 10 minutes, I guess probably the new Air Traffic Management System was down again?
Dinner was served after take-off.
Starter: Seafood salad, tasted very good.
Main : Duck Breast. This was awesome, I really enjoyed it.
Dessert was the normal Haagen-dazs, but after the ice-cream, we were served cookie.
I believe this was to promo Cathay Dragon, as I have heard they distribute this in Hong Kong before, though I'm not 100% sure.
For the rest of the flight I just reclined my seat and watched a movie.
Seat was okay for this short flight, but I really hope CX can install a better regional seat as the current regional seat would not allow too much recline.
Immigration in PEK was fast as no one was in front of me, the advantage of seat in the first row.
All empty
And as I expected, my bag didn't make it to the flight. They were delivered to my place the next day in good condition, so no complain here.
