In the morning, I arrived at the airport with the S-Bahn at 9:00am. Air Berlin is a OneWorld carrier and utilizes the Terminal 1. With the Silver status of Cathay Pacific Airways, I used the Priority checkin counters with just 4 to 5 people queuing in front of me.
The departure hall at Terminal 1 zone A.
The security check was almost empty and I got through in no time. The boarding gate A26 is located exactly in front of the security check.
Our plane soon showed up at gate arriving from Dusseldorf. D-ABDY, this plane delivered to Air Berlin in 2009, almost 8 years ago.

Boarding started at 10:05am and I was among the first few guys to broad the plane.
My seat, 25A. seat pitch is 30 inch which is fine for an hour flight. But could be quite uncomfortable for tall people.

Since September 2016, Air Berlin cut the complimentary beverage service on short haul flight. After the seatbelt sign was off, the crew came out again with the cart, where passengers were able to purchase snacks and drinks.

The rest of the flight was uneventful, and at 11:00am the seatbelt sign was on again. An announcement was made to inform passengers that the plane had commenced the descend into Dusseldorf airport.
At 11:13am, we landed on 23R.
