Arrived at Kuala Namu International Airport after another flight from Bandung with Citilink Indonesia. This is my very first time to travelling alone to Malaysia, back to 2013 and 2014 I only transit in KLIA but have no chance to go to the city. So here is my trip to Malaysia with Malaysian Airlines.
From domestic arrival area I need to go to the 3rd floor to check-in and drop my baggage. The Mezzanine airport hotel will be open later up this year.
Line at the check in desk before it was opened. Okay I don't get it why lots of this people one by one scale their suitcases and make a fuss about their own stuff. They're on the same group to have pilgrimage to Jerusalem and somewhere to some around european countries, of course they're loud and also they're really like to cutting the line when the check-in desk is open. Even tho I was lining up at the economy desk the staff at the business desk allow me to check-in and drop my baggage there. I was curious about the load factor and the staff said it'll be full flight both on business and economy class..
Walk to secondary security check point, it doesn't seems so busy at that time.
Kuala Namu International Airport (KNIA) is one of the biggest airport terminal in Indonesia. The concourse is majority used for domestic flight, the international departure area located to the left till the end of the concourse, while the domestic part is located from mid area to the right till end of the concourse, from the security check point. The immigration desks having no queue and the international area is rather empty for that time.
Not sure if this Wings Air bound to somewhere. The views from very end of the concourse.
The play ground at the international concourse is located pretty far from gates that frequently used.
Boarding pass and Gate #2
Vending machine my saviour. So I was lil bit thirsty and I saw this vending machine and I bought this only with Rp 10.000,- or USD 0.69/ EUR 0.60. The price will be twice expensive at convenient store outside the gates.
Yup the plane was arrived, I know from the flight radar apps that the flight will be using old plane and most likely without PTV IFE.
As the pinkish ground staff stand by around gate number 3 I'm pretty sure it'll be move there, so I walked earlier before they even announce it. I thought it'll be one empty flight since no one showed up and guessing that the staff at the check in desk lying about the full flight. But yeah I was so wrong about that! The flight was full packed! Even the Air Asia departure time is almost in same time it doesn't mean the MH flight will be empty. What a route between KNO-KUL!
Boarding is here!

Peek to MH's old bird. I still like this old livery better IDK why.
Senior Male Flight attendant welcomed every pax, stripped OneWorld sticker at the door. They need to apply new one I guess.
Passing old business class seat and pretty sure this plane didn't equipped with PTV IFE. Boarding still happened for about 15 to 20 minutes and I'm not so impressed by the female cabin crew onboard.
Pushback and the safety video played thru the dropped down TV.
Taxing, entering the runway, start climbing to the sky, and heading to Kuala Lumpur…
Leg rooms, seat back pocket contains:
Cabin situation, refreshments, and the winglet:
The Senior Flight attendant back and forth offers extra peanuts if you ask you can even get 3. hahahaha, they just want empty the trolley I guess.
I'm pretty sure down there is port of Klang and far away we can spotted KLIA 2
Make a loop and plane ready to land
KLIA 2 is pretty huge for LCCT
Is this somekind of VVIP Terminal used by government official or royal families or such?
This Pier gates A (Domestic Flight) or gates G (International Flight) mostly occupied by narrow body aircraft.
Disembark and thanks for the short hop!
Malindo (OD) or Batik Air Malaysia
Walk to Immigration, I made a stop at simcard counter as I probbly need that and pretty happy with the 20 MYR
As I arrived at the baggage reclaim area the conveyor belt already prepared for another flight so suitcases and everything from previous flight already put aside the conveyor belt by the staff there.
Due some budget issues I use Airport bus with only 10RM compared to Airport Train services that will cost me 55RM to reach KL Sentral
So here is the end of my first leg about short getaway to Kuala Lumpur with Citilink Indonesia and Malaysian Airlines. The second leg I'll post it after this report reach 300ish views :D
