Review of Cathay Pacific flight Nagoya → Hong Kong in Economy

Though Cathay Pacific is my home-based airline career, but I seldom fly with it due to many reasons. The major reason is that I love flying with different international careers and it is my hope to explore other cultures through the catering and services enjoyed in-flight. As some of you may know, Japan is an extremely popular country for Hong Kong people to visit, due to the geographical location and food cultures maybe, there are lot's of flights serving between two countries. Due to the huge demand, the price of those routes with traditional careers usually went extremely high. In some peak seasons, the cost for an economy return ticket may be even higher than a HKG-LHR / HKG-JFK return flight ticket (for non-direct flight of course). Anyways, I travelled in a non-peak season where the price tags were reasonable. I compared this flight with its counterpart, ANA. Despite the price of ANA may be a bit lower, but their flight equipment has recently changed to a brand new A320neo instead of an aged B737-700. As an aviation enthusiast, I would love to fly with some rare and ageing aircraft, so I finally picked CX with (A350-900 and B777-300) for my return flight.

This route is served with wide-body jets and the loading is usually densely packed, where this flight is scheduled with a mixup of A330-300, A350-900, A350-1000, B777-300 or B777-300ER, actually a mixture of every type of passenger airliners of Cathay Pacific :)

The Nagoya Airport (NGO) has an easy access. After passing the custom, I proceeded to the gate immediately for some plane shooting. 

My plane was there right after I arrived the gate, it was the 777-300, with registration B-HNH, painted with the new livery, though I love their previous livery more, it still looking sharp.

Also, in the international route terminal, there were lot's of airline careers in this airport, like an A330 from the Delta Airlines and a B737-800 from the China Southern Airlines.

The 777-300 is a regional aircraft with a 3-4-3 configuration, mainly serving their high-density regional routes within hubs in Asia, like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei and Seoul. 

Actually the seat was a bit too narrow and the leg room wasn't enough for me, maybe I am quite a large person, but hopefully the loading was not too full and I can occupy a row with 3 seats with my travel partner.

After reaching the cruising altitude, meal service soon began. Becoz I was too hungry that day, I forgotten to take some pics of my meal….

I couldn't remember what I have ate that day, but I think it was nothing special, just a regular meal offered by CX. Without surprise, the taste of my meal was in a normal taste, a haagen dazs ice cream was delivered after my meal, and this was the catering service I appreciate most, it was delicious. 

The IFE system is great, it's comprehensiveness always stand out from it's counterparts. Most, if not all of the movie and entertainment selections suited my preference, probably CX is my home-based career. I watched a movie and took a nap after my 5 days travel in Japan. 

The crews were nice and friendly. I could find a home-like feeling when I was on-boarding Cathay Pacific, I guess everyone would feel so if getting on their national airline career after a long stay in foreign countries.
