I was flying on Westjet's Boeing 737-800 to Vancouver in this snowy date.

Hmmm…they put life vests on top of your head. This was a new thing to me.

It was my first time watching deicing! That was so cool! Two giant trucks sprayed the chemicals onto the plane!

And then we took off (of course, late)

Drink service began. Like Air Canada, Westjet also offers complimentary drinks on this route. I feel like Westjet has bigger cups than the one on Air Canada. Do you agree?

Conclusion

This flight was short but awesome. Crew were friendly and nice. They were also generous on giving out drinks and pretzels. However, I must say that Air Canada did better than Westjet. Westjet only offered a sanitizing wipe, which was not enough.

  • Nice to see a review of WestJet. Overall good product with free drinks and snacks and in-seat power. I'm curious as to why the Entertainment rating is so low. All WestJet 737s should have free streaming IFE to personal devices, which is better than most other LCCs in North America offering no IFE at all.
