In November 2022, I flew from YVR to YYZ on this very special Boeing 777, the 777-200LR. There are only 60-ish 777-200LRs in the world, and Air Canada itself operated 6 of them. When I had the opportunity to visit my friends in Toronto and saw that this flight was operated by a 777-200LR, I knew I needed to try for once. Before the flight, I did my usual AC Bid Upgrade, which costed me only 200-ish dollars to be upgraded to premium economy. I got to enjoy a meal and unlimited snack/drink service. Honestly, Air Canada's 777-200LR has the same interior as their 777-300ER, but flying on a rare variant is always fun.
I really love Air Canada's old blue livery, unfortunately I could not take a good shot for this beautiful 777-200LR.
Time to board!
Every seat had a bottle of water and a power socket.
Taking a picture on the 777-200LR's safety card is definitely a must. Perhaps they will not be flying anymore in 5 to 10 years.
For domestic premium economy on Air Canada, you get a variety choices of wines, beers, juices and soft drinks.
On that day, I had the option of omelette or french toast. The only cabin crew serving premium economy took everyone's order before take-off. Almost everyone chose the omelette option.
The overhead bins were fully loaded and we had to remove some baggages and gate-checked them.
Finally, we took-off on time. Air Canada offered movies from different genres. I enjoyed their inflight entertainment more than any other airlines.
We started with drinks and breakfast service. Since this was a morning flight, most people chose to have juices or coffee.
A very classic but elegant Air Canada signature breakfast. The fruits were fresh and the omelette were warm and perfectly cooked. However, I did not enjoy the white gel-like sauce, which I believe it was some sort of cheese.
I love this portrait of 777-200LR on the interactive map. Very accurately portrayed.
Before landing, the crew came around for another round of drink service. They were also serving snacks. I chose Kit Kat and chocolate bar. Savoury snacks, like chips, were also available.
Drinks were always poured in glassware. After the crew collected the trash and cups, we were ready to land in Toronto.
This is the Signature Class (Business Class), which I think it was a bit pricey at the time I was purchasing the ticket.
Well, the flight ended nicely.
Hello!
Premium eco, you say? I'm blown away! I think this kind of service was worth every Canadian dollar you paid for it! Unlimited drink and snack service! I can't believe it! And that meal... Just wow! This puts many airlines to shame. (Greetings, AR and LA)

Thanks for your comments. AC is definitely the best airline in North America (in my opinion).
Thanks for this look at AC widebody W service on longer domestic flights! And on a rare 77LR at that!
I really like that AC actually sell the W cabin on domestic flights and have the full W service including fancy printed menus! That just feels so premium these days. Within the US, the US carriers never sell the W cabins on widebodies, except on longer Hawaiian routes. The one bright side of this is that Elites can sit in W seats for free because they are treated as Extra Legroom Economy on domestic, but that comes with standard Y service, which is basically no service haha.
What a contrast between US and Canadian carriers on similar routes!
