Conclusion

Cathay Pacific service was good, flight departed and arrived on time. Food served was adequate for the length of flight. Being a night flight and having walked all day, I slept after meal. I woke 2hours before arrival, did not use the IFE or WI-fi.

Hong Kong exit was quick at security and immigration was through self check kiosk.

Sydney Airport wasn't busy at mid-day, complete immigration quickly and then got bag within few minutes.

Overall a satisfactory flight.

  • Oh wow, so you spent New Year's night on a plane. It's too bad that CX didn't do anything special on the flight like offer everyone champagne...maybe they do something special more on Lunar New Year.

Otherwise service seems really nice with decent meals and the printed menus are premium by today's standards.

    Thanks for sharing!

    • I had booked the ticket that way. Being a Chinese carrier, probably more LNY celebrations.

Food was good, I was too tired after spending whole day walking, didn't notice anything. After meal slept till morning breakfast.

      Thanks for your comment.
