Introduction
During our summer vacation, my girlfriend's mother was injured on the traffic accident ! So we decided to rush back to Belgium to visit her by Emirates via Dubai.
Part 1 : Before the flight
On the day before departure, I having the dinner at Fairwood as an Hong Kong local fast-food restautant in Elements Shopping Mall, West Kowloon with my mother and my younger-sister.
Since the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 has issued at 6:40pm on 4 September 2024 by Hong Kong Observetory, so the glass doors of the shopping mall was already attached with adhesive tape.
After that, we go to Tung Chung Line Concourse of MTR Kowloon Station for waiting my girlfriend because she's coming here by Tung Chung Line with her luggage.
Then we go to the Airport Express Concourse of MTR Kowloon Station for buying tickets at TVM (Ticket Vending Machine). There's also available an TV for timetable of Arrivals and Departures flight at HKIA.
Since it was uncrowded after 9pm, most of the shops and In town check-in service here at Kowloon Station are closed🙄 (except 7-Eleven).
Then, we took the MTR Airport Express Train go to Hong Kong International Airport but it was very cold inside the train🥶 ! 23mins later, our Airport Express train has arrived at Airport Station.
After our arrival at the Airport (Terminal 1), we go to our check-in aisle and here's an annoncement by the Airport Authority of Hong Kong on the speaker of the terminal : "Attention Please, Hong Kong Observetory has issued Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 and Some flights will be affected by the weather." At this time, the crews for our flight has arrived at the Airport for departure.
After that, I say goodbye to my mother and my younger-sister before the security check for entering the restricted area. But my younger-sister was cried and she said : "Elder-brother, I miss you do much. Take care of your girlfriend and come back to Hong Kong soon!" (Because my younger-sister was kids, she just 6 years old and I was 20 as September 2024)
It was an unexpected surprise for me again. When we are waiting for the Driverless Train at the Platform, 2 Emirates flight attendants named Anna and Stephanie walked to me and said : "Franklyn, nice to meet you again after 2 months !" Then, they takes a photo with me. (I've saw them once time onboard flight EK184 in 5 July 2024)
After arrving at the Gate I saw A7-BOA, an Boeing 777-300ER Aircraft belonged to Qatar Airways was prepared for flight QR815 to Doha. (This aircraft was an ex-Cathay Pacific aircraft and the previous registration was B-KPM before jointed Qatar Airways)
Part 2 : EK381 HKG > DXB
Our flight EK381 to Dubai was operated by A6-EUC, an Airbus A380-800 "SUPERJUMBO" aircraft delivered to Emirates in September 2016 by Airbus in Toulouse, France.

After boarding and safety video is finished, our aircraft takeoff on Runway 07R at 1:02am. Since the Hainan Island was affected by the severe thunderstorm and heavy rains as the approch of Typhoon Yagi, our aircraft was passing near Beibuwan for our journey. Later, an refreshment and drink services has provided. It just an Hong Kong Style Chcken Curry Roll with a chocolate cookie. For drinks, I chose the apple juice with ice.
After the refreshment service, I was surprised by an flight attendant named Anna and she knew that my FAVOURITE AIRBUS AIRCRAFT was A380. So she brings me to the onboard lounge, having a break with some drinks from the bar and completed my flightlog with other crew ! In 3 hours before our arrival at DXB, they served the breakfast service with 2 options of main course : Fritatta with Spinach and Sausage (1st Option) or Congee with Prawn (2nd Option) then served with hot or cold drinks. Both of us were got the 1st option Fritatta with Spinach and Sausage and served by apple juice.
Part 3 : Arrival
Our aircraft landed DXB at 4:20am and parked to Gate B26 for arrival. Since there's aren't having 3rd airbridge for the Gate, all passengers on upper deck as First and Business Class need to go downstairs for leave the aircraft ! 🙄
After that, we are go to the transfer desk for our connecting flight EK183 to Brussels. That's all my review onboard flight EK381 from Hong Kong to Dubai and see you in the next one.
